I am a Nerd through and through, and my nerdom covers a wide array of topics, from superhero comics and sci-fi/fantasy films to novels and poetry all the way through art and music. I fancy myself a REAL writer (whatever that means) and find myself most inspired by the world around me clashing with rock music, magical creatures, passionate romances and impossible technologies all in my head at once. I also am a self-taught pencil artist in a fairly comic book manner (I may even share some here if anyone is so inclined to see), and have crazy ideas about conducting Graphic Poems with my art at some point in the future. I am known by peers IRL as the person to go to when support or an ear to listen are needed, though I am quite well practiced at dealing with my inner demons and ever revolving depression quietly and to myself, which all brings me to my poetry. I am working on several prose projects, but poetry has always been where my freedom lies. I first cracked the concept for myself analyzing the lyrics of a lot of 90's grunge bands and up-and-coming rap artists when I was growing up; I simultaneously began reading Arthur Rimbaud and hitting my Doors phase in high school and I never looked back. So while plenty of people in my corner of the world see my face, all of you here get to see a raw and spiritually nude side of myself, and I am already grateful for the opportunity. Thank you.
