Heya. My name is Jasmine. No, I won't be more specific. I don't trust anyone on the Internet.
Well. I like writing poems, obviously, but I also like writing prose, listening to music, playing the drums, learning new languages, learning about other cultures, reading, and making strange faces at my friends.
Anyway! I'm pretty, uh... Well. Emotional. I don't get offended very easily, except by blatant ignorance. I have a tendency to snap at people who are outlandishly rude, but it's out of pride more than anything else. I do, however, get very ranty and passionate about, well, everything, if given the chance. XD
Anything else...
Well, I listen to mostly alternative and pop punk, like The Maine and All-American Rejects, but thanks to pandora.com, I have a plethora of random songs by random bands. I also like the soundtracks from Disney movies, especially Nightmare Before Christmas and the Lion King.
I read fiction- anything that couldn't ever happen. Fairies, dragons, knights, swordsman, peasants turning into frogs, frogs turning into peasants, magic- of ALL kinds-, and various other fairy-taleish things. My favorites are War For The Oaks, by Emma Bull, the Sword Of Truth saga by Terry Goodkind, and His Dark Materials trilogy, by Philip Pullman. Oh, and Harry Potter. But that kind of goes without saying in the fiction world, aye? It's like all MMORPG players played Runescape before moving on, and while they may mock it because they've played SO MANY BETTER GAMES, they smile fondly about it. Same with Harry Potter- except Harry Potter didn't make me throw my laptop at the wall.
I am an atheist. I simply cannot believe in a divinity I have no proof exists. However, I believe in and follow Jesus Christ. Even the most skeptical historians agree he existed and preached love, tolerance, and happiness. I agree with his teachings and do my best to follow them- beyond the whole "follow God and ye shall be saved" stuff, as, as I've said, divinity+me=UTTER FRUSTRATION. I was, however, raised Christian, so if you start spouting nonsense about "all sinners are demons and blah blah burn in hell blah" I will probably counter you. I've read the Bible, okay? I'll know when you're spouting bull.
That's probably more than ANYONE wanted to know about me, so, uh, RAWR!
Poetry, FTW!
Also, I have a deviantart. http://theflamesfightback38.deviantart.com/
I also have an AllPoetry.
