A humble, disabled poet, formerly a biochemist, I live in a hovel in the deep south of the US with one dog, 6 cats, and a husband. I always felt my calling was poetry but got a biology degree to keep a roof over my head and food in the family's mouth.  After the removal of my 180-pound tumor, I am happily remarried and enjoy raising our furbabies.  The health issue which instigated my declaration of complete disability was the day I planned, for various reasons, to cause a large explosion in my workplace.  Chemistry labs contain flammable chemicals in huge quantities.  Blowing up the laboratory would have been suicide, though! I was homicidal, not suicidal.  A call to the psychiatrist's office resulted in my permanent exit from the lab.  My health has gone downhill, with narcolepsy and epilepsy kicking my ass.  If you ever want to know what it is like to have a temporal lobe seizure or a sleep attack, hit me up.
