I Wield This in His Memory
Fuck off, MAGA, and your mad assail;
you no more own the skies of liberty
than the Pequod owned that honky whale
or Ahab all the hate he put to sea.
My father's "good news" was a flimsy blade
he chose to wield for the greater good
but the news today would see him dismayed
at decency no longer understood.
So now words must be of sterner steel
as..."naught's an angle to the iron way"
to rend a path back to what we feel
about the heartless fuckers holding sway... ...

Coup(unseen)
Coup(unseen)
There was a coup unseen
In beautiful Myanmar
Democracy ruined by a junta
Coup de tat sounds kinda nice
Till the bullet tears an innocent
Soul open
Happened two years ago
But the world hasn’t noticed
Too busy with invasions and
covid and disinformation
Half a world away
On the other side
What we don’t see
We don’t seem to feel
They are wanting the same things
We’re really not that different
Not the same customs or culture
But deep inside crack us open
And...

Hello? Who's Out There?
Elizabeth was
taking a shower before
she heard someone step
into the bathroom which made
her say "Hello? Who's out there?"
Russ came home from work
and saw that the front door was
forced open. He went
into the bathroom and found
his roommate slashed with a blade.

Lose-Lose Transaction
I'm fallin' apart
See me resignin' from the action
'cause I don't wanna start
Another lose-lose transaction
Baby
Will everything be fine?
Have I been broken by ambition?
Falling through the floor
Is this just one more transition?
I ain't been here before
But I've always been a fighter
I don't know myself no more
You say you'll hold me tighter
See me resignin' from the action
'cause I don't wanna start
Another lose-lose transaction

A Dog's Broken Heart
When it came to that dog's heart, his owner's death sure did break it.
He lost his master and his best friend and he simply couldn't take it.
He stayed at his owner's grave and he would continuously howl.
When I tried to move him, he snapped at me and he would growl.
I gave him food but he wouldn't eat and he starved to death.
He couldn't live without his owner and he took his final breath.
A veterinarian tried to help the dog but he growled and snapped at him too.
The vet wanted to save the dog's life but sadly, there was nothing he could do. ...

Thanatomaniacs
Too much they think about impending death
when they might instead embrace life and love
just like the poets do with every breath
that all life lovers have ever heard of.
So close your ears to the man with the gun
who prattles on about caliber force.
He! He...is the devil we should shun
and all of his weapon loving discourse
confirming to us that he thinks it's neat
to blast his brothers into kingdom dumb
as smoking piles of once human meat
certain to upset his once happy mum!
Life by and for the sword is...

I'm a Masochist
I was walking down the street
Saw a child with a kite
Wrapped within the wires
The child began to ignite
Some wealthy, arrogant woman
Up ahead an open manhole
Not paying attention
This was her final stroll
Evil things make me happy
I laugh, I feel good about myself
I'm a sadist
Nasty customer giving the cashier a hard time
Complaining about prices, screaming, causing a scene
As she was walking across the street
A car ran her down, the visual was so obscene
Little snot nose kid

WHEN THE DARKNESS COMES
When the weight of the world is heavy upon your shoulders, 🤫 what is the first thing that comes to your mind. 🤔 Is it the memories of once upon a Time ⌚ that you remember, or is it that moment in your life and world, that everything just feels like like sweet apple pie. 🥧 When the weight of the world, 🌍 starts to get you down, with the deepness of the deepest, thoughts of the blues and spiritual you find thyself. Sometimes lost and confuse and afraid, just as you began to singing those old country blues. Yet as you look up at the distance skies of the...

A CHANGE IS COMING
As I continue to stand and tolerate, the deepness of the real things, that will affect the very foundation of the world. 🌍 AS we use to connect with it emotionally and physically and spiritually, but yet it's not the same situations that we have known in the past. WHEN things were good for the betterment of humanity and society. For sure we will face now more than ever truly bad times, living in a place that has changed in ways that we could never image. 🤨 For sure people that we thought we could trust, have now become the enemy of the state, with there wicked web...

Unshackled Yet Enchained (Nigeria's Cry)
October 1st, a day of claimed pride,
Nigeria's independence, a partial stride,
From colonial chains, we broke the mold,
But subtle bonds remain, our progress to hold.
The masters left, but their systems stay,
Institutions rigged, to keep us at bay,
Economic strings, pulled from afar,
Our resources exploited, like a scar.
Foreign powers meddle, with hidden hands,
Influencing policies, that grip our lands,
IMF and World Bank, with conditional ties,
Shackling our growth, with debt's disguise.
Our leaders, puppets on a...

Climate times(flyin high)
Flyin high in climate times
Gonna get an RV to see
Things not saw by my eyes
Mile marker 29 flys by
Pull into the campground
Stretch my legs and let go
As small talk goes all around
Back on the horse
Rubber on asphalt
Driving on an American Dream
Driving on an American Dream
Mountains stand tall in the distance
A frog hops into whitewater
I want to go to Hawaii
I can’t step onto the runway ...
