The Time Fairy
Her lifeless body
Lay stricken
Upon the bell tower
Her wings
Frayed, and broken
Her words lay on her dying lips
Unspoken
Chasing ghosts
Vanquished dreams
Lost hope
And a fragile heart
Beating a tentative beat
Delicate tears
Caress the saddened soul
No longer whole
Her lifeless body
Still upon the bell tower
Awaiting a burial of sorts
Time moved forward
The hands of the clock
Together, cast her asunder

A Dog's Broken Heart
When it came to that dog's heart, his owner's death sure did break it.
He lost his master and his best friend and he simply couldn't take it.
He stayed at his owner's grave and he would continuously howl.
When I tried to move him, he snapped at me and he would growl.
I gave him food but he wouldn't eat and he starved to death.
He couldn't live without his owner and he took his final breath.
A veterinarian tried to help the dog but he growled and snapped at him too.
The vet wanted to save the dog's life but sadly, there was nothing he could do. ...

Liquified, My Dear
Grab me a glass’
Who am I talking to?
No one, just me
Sitting in my solitude
Trembling hand fully extends
Reaching for that bottle
The eager liquid spills out
Filling the depths of my highball
Already drank all the beer
And all mixers are empty
Now to bring out the real stuff
Also known as the green fairy
The wormwood provides answers
The bitter licorice concedes
Ill feelings quickly fading
While animosity retreats

Casualties
The soldiers all load up their guns
All set to fight at the rising sun
To kill and maim, a heartless horde
Until the enemy can fight no more
The battle blood runs bright and red
And sets a trap within their heads
The future filled with flashback pain
Every day they'll fight again
Tears and nighttime screams abound
They can't escape the dreams they've found
Til one by one the the rifles roar
Until the soldiers are no more
And in the end the score is tied
The losers dead the victors die
At their own hands the war will end ...

Silent - A Tragedy

After that? Pretty blurred, really. Tragic, like a dying swan. All that beauty gone. Jace invited me back to his for a drink and a grill up, but I made a decision: get a train and return home early, enough of Philippa. Dawn went to fetch Paul, and Paul drove Dawn, Jace and me back to Lyme House to collect my stuff. Then on to the train station.
We didn't say much on the way to the station. Such an intensity of emotion, Jace and Dawn seemed upset by my departure, even though we hardly knew each other.

I've drowned myself in vapid tears
Decaying roots with no room to grow
Corroded with incessant fears
