Would I, would I, would I,
could I, should I?
Could I, could I, could I,
should I, would I?
Should I, should I, should I,
would I, could I?
At that age and after so much time.
In this place and after so much.
For so little or almost nothing!
could I, should I?
Could I, could I, could I,
should I, would I?
Should I, should I, should I,
would I, could I?
At that age and after so much time.
In this place and after so much.
For so little or almost nothing!

Doldrums
I’m captain of a tuneless vessel
adrift on a windless sea;
nothing to break the tedium –
an extended state of ennui.
I’ve tossed dream-horses overboard,
making space for something new;
still no sign of a catalyst
to brighten my field of view.
Alas! Alack! I just want to nap,
though storms veil every horizon.
Until the tempest is right in my lap,
I see no point in arisin’.

Disjointed Untitled Piece
Amber arches awake.
Bright blooms bask.
Curious colors call.
Dancing days drift.
Echoes embrace earth.
Feathers flutter free.
Golden glows gleam.
Hazy hues hum.
Illuminated iris ignites.
Joy jumps jubilant.
Kind kisses kindle.
Lush leaves lull.
Morning murmurs mild.
Nature nurtures nests.
Orange opens over.
Petals paint pathways.
Quiet quivers quicken.
Rustling radiance ripples.
Sunflowers soak sun.
Tender tendrils twist.
Undulating upward urge.

Navigating through uncertainty
Can often be very intimidating
But once you accept responsibility
And take accountability
It becomes easier to grasp
Reparation and restoration
Forgiving as well as healing
It’s a shift in paradigm thinking
Identifying the root cause
So that we understand who we are
In order to move forward toward
That vision
The better version of ourselves

First Summer Monsoon
15/30
First Summer Monsoon
Daily threats of the first
tepid, sometimes cool
light breezes often
partnered with wonderful
overcast skies
This pushes my mood
sitting on a beach, any beach
waves, waving, coming
tippy-toeing – Yes!!
I feel the imaginative frore
I will myself to forget
pending hell like heat
forget everything
and just breathe
or hold me breath
‘til this year’s 1st monsoon

Remember the December weekend
when we went There?
We were free!
Bed; sleep; zen!
Yet...
extreme freeze!
We were very peeved.
Trees were bent by the breeze;
the cement, the green—
deep sheet; gentle sheen.
Brr!
Where's my vest?
The vestments? The helmets?
Tremble, freeze, eek!
Remedy: expend restless, excess energy.
Flex feet, flex knees;
exert selves.
Deep freeze.
Breeze between zephyr, vent.
Help!
Hey! New jeep!
Wheels repel elements.
Whee!

Hope
Light breaks the night.
Its flicker grows, yet fragile still.
A flame burns bright within despair.
Where silence lingers, whispers dare to rise anew.
Through storms and shadows, it calls, defies, it prevails.
Boundless and untamed, it stretches through time, unyielding.
Hope swells like oceans, crashing, surging with infinite waves that collide.
Its roots entangle stars, weaving lifelines from fractures, each moment revived.
Hope ascends like constellations, a beacon eternal, shining through endless skies.

Thunderstorm Nights
2/30
Nothing beats
Hearing the rain
Pound down
On the window
Being thrown by the heavy winds
Seeing the lightning flash brightly
Thunder crackles overhead
Lying in bed
Propped up on a stack of pillows
Under a heated blanket
Sipping hot lavender chamomile tea
Clutching a book so tight
Trying to read faster and faster
Eyes darting to the next page
Wanting to know how the scene ends
Barely breathing through the action embedded in the words

Nine lives for a dog?
Andy Felthersnatch's dog burst into flames when it peed on a live wire. Felthersnatch later told the press, "There was an almighty explosion and the whole street lit up. I turned around and my dog was on fire." Power was off for five hours that day in a small town 10 miles north of Glens Falls, New York. Against all odds, the dog survived.

incoming storm
There's a category 2 cyclone off the coast, not that far from where I am. I don't know what to think about it. I'm sure as hell not excited. My brain keeps telling me it's nothing compared to the cyclones I grew up with in Northern Australia, where thunder would shake the air so violently it could shatter glass.
I've seen trees on fire and thought they were beautiful.
I've seen my parents scramble for sand bags, only for the flood waters to stop at the edge of our veranda. I've stood at the edge of it and wished I could swim in it, just for the novelty.
I...

So many falling stars
In the corridors of thought
where shadows white is sublime
wheels of memory spin
in circles they turn
whispers of forgotten dreams
linger in the air.
Faces in the mirror
reflections of the past
moments fleeting by
too precious to outlast
colors of emotion
in a kaleidoscope's embrace.
Echoes of a heartbeat
in the silence of the night
thoughts like scattered leaves
take their secret flight
twirling like a dance
on the edge of the unknown.
Threads of golden memories
woven...
