a joyous spring
a sweet softness
edges itself upward,
a rainbow of blooms
spreading out
over the landscape,
caressing the vision.

raindrops
raindrops kiss gently
with each return
from a darkened shroud.
their music soothing,
each drop
a precious moment.
serenity falling,
watch each drop
finish its dance.

a precious moment.
serenity falling,
watch each drop
finish its dance.

i'll follow my shadow
what
blue morning
eased its smile
up early
over
the landscape,
an early
whistle opening
the windows,
the doors,
eyes plunging
into living,
uncoiling breaths
drank heavily,
and
before it
was known,
those salt
and pepper
clouds
moved ahead
of me,
i got up
to walk around.

skyline (dismembered)
that sky
panicked,
the blueness
of
the clouds
and storm
caused
aftershocks,
it's bones
being
dismembered,
grey eyes
welling up,
trembling,
dropping
heavy tears.

sleeping in nature
fairest of evening skies
i sleep beneath you,
in silent fields
while stars
watch from above,
and the darkness
covers me like silk.

counting stars
it all
began
seemingly
innocent
enough,
that great
task,
to go
outside,
to count
the stars,
ones
that wait
just above
my head,
these pleasures
woke up
the moon,
it became
happy
woke up
the sun,
but he
was not
happy,
and now
waiting
on his
jealousy
to run
its course,
i will
get back
to counting
more stars
when
the sun
again
relents
his sky.

a thought for snow
i casually
walked myself
to the
entrance
of my
backdoor,
i perched
myself
half in
half out,
there in
that framed
doorway,
and
i felt
a lightness
in
the air,
not
a freezing
moment,
still,
not the
warm missed
days
of what
summer
had been,
but this,
a feeling
like
the night
was telling
me of
its thoughts
for snow.

lemonade drops
she stood
lifting
her smile
heavenly,
the lemonade
drops
falling from
overhead
cotton candy
clouds,
she tried
to drink
as much
rain
as she could,
drying
the storm
and bring
back
the banana
sun.

coming wintertime
each step
leaves
a trace,
your habitation
is
impending
and consigned,
fame
conquers wings
and those
marked affairs,
your
dwelling place,
now
your eyes
watch
the sun
so worked,
waiting
for your long
and
heavy score.

another gone day
again
this early morning
ecstasy
flooding my mind
with chases
of light,
shadows darting
in and out
of imaginable
works,
how he travels
so well,
trying
not to bump
against
the sharp edges
of darkness,
careful
not to bruise
his skin.
