The Great Divide
So much pain sent within a shockwave
Voices turn silent when riddled with fear
Wearing a face that only appears brave
Underneath it stirs a torment more severe
Out in the ether the air has grown dense
Seems the grass is dead on the other side
Been swindled under some false pretense
Karma was instant sparking the great divide

Generic Existence
He goes to the same job everyday.
He comes home to his wife every night.
They rarely touch each other.
Only on special occasions, like birthday's and Columbus Day.
There not attracted to each other anymore.
They don't make a fuss about it.
A few years back, they were fighting and swearing that they were going to leave one another.
When the fighting subsided, they both realized they were both a bunch of cowards.
Neither one had the courage to go out and meet someone else.
They don't despise one another.
They are friendly roommates waiting for...

the divorce pages~blue
blue ache has come upon me
colorful rain take my sadness from my soul
it weeps...I don't
indifference...all pretenses
I know I hurt you
in the end, it's you who needed me
I never saw that coming
love me a little less
tell me you'll be alright
my heart is heavy
I never wanted to hurt you
can you see me baby early twenties?
fresh and in love
it was going to be forever
cliche, cliche, cliche
I gave up on you
waited by the phone
when you were busy playing
you need dedication...

The Ecstasy of Gold II
Arrival from Heathrow Airport, England
—Atlantic City International Airport,
New Jersey, 1974, 03:00 Hours
The brown station wagon
bulleted southward
becoming a très grande vitesse
through sleeping suberbs and cities
Comets of street-lights
illuminated dirty windows
where I pretended to sleep
cradled in an incubator of glass—
a rusted, oil-leaking nest
There's no lullaby
like rubbered-asphalt
between dark routes
of small, uknown towns
cigarettes glowing
between parental...

Your Pensive Smile
Your pensive smile
Bending the rules of attraction
Secret desire
Contained but obvious to me
An unspoken language
Harbored within symbols
Traveling through my day
Signposts of love posted on the walls
Collected and owned
Spiritual moodiness
Growth and distance
Defined and wanting...

FROM BEYOND
A BEGINNING A MIDDLE AND A END...🤔 Have you ever heard a silent voice off from the distance, yet it sounds so clear like a whisper from the wind. Have you ever heard someone calling your name, yet when you look behind you 🤔 there's no one standing there, looking over your shoulder.👁️👁️ Have you ever heard of the illusions that you see and hear that you see aren't real👁️👁️ but yet you begin to question your own chain of thoughts, and your own questions as you silently talk to thyself, for is it your sanity or your...

Raytheon
Inapt are men trading brains for muscle;
Too often swapped in the annuls of war
Where force was trained for disciplined hustle
And cold mentation as entropy's whore
To see that the widows were young and fresh
With no flowers of chivalry to bed;
Seemingly forgot was that their brave flesh
Drained as quickly as a coward's when bled.
And thus I challenge the bold and the brave
To fashion something more than tombs en masse
Where fewer cowards who escape the grave
Can chase a piece of liberated ass. ...

In Exile
I know things got off on the wrong foot right from the start
At the time when I was young I just fell apart
Even after all the years of me trying to do what was right
Lately it just feels like your silence is out of spite
With every visit I loved our conversations and laughs
The quality time was more precious and unforgettable
And as you got older you became stronger and bolder
So I wrote you verses to make our relationship memorable
But something strange happened within the last few years
You’re so distant and quiet and won’t talk to...

Not Yet Swans
We were fooled last week
when so many things outside
were tipped in green
And though darkness is
your favorite color,
you disrobed from it
and kicked it under the bed
As you accepted Spring
to your bosom
as you shook your hair back
and offered your throat
to the kiss of something
renewing
all of your tips to pink
At first, I felt like a bird
fidgeting upon your window ledge
(edge of the bed)
I suffered the settling
for at least bread crumbs

Why have you forsaken me?
Dawn of our journey.
We found our path,
an embrace like a first station,
hope in every breath.
Together we walked facing fears
in the sacred spring.
The weight of the cross came
as doubt whispered in the wind.
Our love staggered under its heavy burden.
With each step, the road grew steeper,
yet, we bore the weight
through shared tears and laughter.
We stumbled and fell thrice
in moments of despair.
We rose, driven by the light in our eyes.
Giving strength to carry on and believe in us.
