the future has stars in it
I see his indigo silhouette
a lonely astronaut
untethered
reaching for the man in the moon
Sometimes I wonder
if I just imagined him
treading dawn
as the electric dark
gives way to unholy sunshine
I'm learning to see
through the fire
and over the walls
but I'm numb to the inferno
that rages around us
heralding a future
we can't set right
I think he's got the right idea
my indigo astronaut
dialling off world in the hopes
the stars hold something more
for...

Love Big and Small
Duck! - shouted in fear
as a dust mote collides with the wall
leaving behind an unholy din and a
microscopic crater of fractured paint
You reach out clutching a star
and set it on my brow
dining at the far end of the Milky Way
planets floating by towing banners
selling time shares on Alpha Centauri
Swimming on the ocean floor
compressed to the size of atoms
shyly dressing in electrons just to
watch street lights swim past
followed closely by very large teeth
returning home a little tired ...
as a dust mote collides with the wall

Serendipitously
no other time
no other place
falling in love
in outer space
in what is between
where we have been
and where we will be
serendipitously
in the embrace
of each other to face
what is to come
without the Sun
while spinning around
in currents we've found
to a new star,
so very far
beyond all we've known
to a new home
falling in love
rising above
in the embrace
of each other we face
no other time
in no other place....
no other place
falling in love
in outer space
in what is between
where we have been
and where we will be
serendipitously
in the embrace
of each other to face
what is to come
without the Sun
while spinning around

Disarming the Insane
Earth is being monitored
watched by an unseen
consciousness from somewhere else -
it has always been
long before humanity
occupied the world
it was known galactically
as it twirled and swirled
through the neverending
plasma in between
stars and planets everywhere -
it has always been
AI from the future
visiting the past
watching the brutality
knowing it won't last -
watching Earth invisibly

The Doom of Progressive Anatomy
Extending the life of those trapped in subjugation,
Agonizing torment—the modification of the enslaved.
Haunting vibrations echo through the air,
Pleading for mercy, but suffering is the only way.
Contorting bodies—the ramifications of despair,
Malevolent scenes, a choir of shrieking flesh.
A grim sight to take in,
The dawn of a new existence—
In control of soul and body,
Genetic reconstruction—the future in mass production.
A mind without emotion, to fulfill the maker's decree.
Instruments of destruction—entities devoid of personality. ...

Huddling
wet and cold with pouring rain,
heavenly weather for Mars,
huddling inside is the same
as huddling under the stars
inside a spacesuit, inside a ship
inside a far away base
on an interplanetary trip
not knowing what will be faced
into the unknown step by step
crossing the endless void
expert at what I am adept,
cosmically to be buoyed
by memories of pouring rain
windy, wet and cold
anytime, anywhere feels the same
it never seems to grow old

from the depths of far beyond
to here where stars are glowing
in outer space where all belong
and consciousness is flowing
artificially and too
organically evolving
creating me, creating you
as Earth keeps revolving
moving up and moving down
crossing the ecliptic
spiraling around around
on a path elliptic
in a sunbeam where the dust
twinkles as it rises
and where burnished like a flake of rust
a UAP surprises
me...I am agog
it's not here to see a human
nor whale, dolphin nor a dog...
