"I don’t want you to hate me," He says
Then she says, “I could never hate you,
You built a strong woman with your insults.
Now I know what I will and won’t put up with.”
You taught me to cook,
How refreshing it is to bake cookies at midnight.
You’re the reason I dance
In the frozen section to music I never knew.
We bonded over our broken pasts,
Both of us screaming childhood screams.
We saw the worst in those
Who were supposed to love us.
Insults echoing in our homes. ...

Dragonfly
Dragonfly
Maroon.
Sparklie.
Cystels.
Chuck-berry red.
Set in silver.
Did'nt fly away.
I saw.
I looked.
Settled in my hand.
A thing of beauty.
Gift not for me.
Perhaps another?
No one.
Came to mind.
After a time.
It adorned.
My hat.
Till one day.
It Flew away.
Landing.
On another.
A hat of such.
iridescence.
Pleased.
It found another.
I was sad.
It had left me.
Yet grateful. ...

Misery
If 'misery loves company'.
Then shouldn't I be surrounded by people.
Perhaps I have a special kind of misery, one that eschews company.
Better to wallow alone that drag others into my mire.

Torpor of routine
I'm.
Not.
Missing.
Out.
On.
Life.
I'm.
Just.
Waiting.
To.
Die.
It's.
Not.
Exactly.
What.
You.
Want.
But,
I.
Never.
Asked.
Not.

Loneliness
Loneliness
I spend every day
I don't see anybody
That I know
When I am walking outside
I walk around the block
I think everybody still sleeping
Be cause it is early in the morning
Today is raining
I am also wearing
My raining jacket
And I have an umbrella with me
The umbrella is keeping me dry
Now I finally return home
I went to my living room
I turn my computer on
I finally started to write
Some poems for my Father
All my poems have different feelings
That comes out of my heart
The night...

I'm not you
I'm not you and you are not me 😞 to tell me that what, I got going on in my own body and mind and spiritual soul, is not what I have been dealing with for awhile now ain't cancer. FOR sure you don't have to take my words of what I say is the truth. For sure who are you to judge someone who's whole life, has been turned up side down having to deal with cancer. For like I've said I'm not you and you are not me, fighting for my life s second time in my own life time. 🙏 Yet you insist that you know me when you really don't bother to do your own research, for sure I don't have no...

Fasting from Your Love
Fasting from your love—
The addiction that consumes my mind,
A fire that burns, leaving reason behind.
I’m desperate to purge you from my soul,
But our bond runs deeper, beyond control.
Our souls are bound, down to the nucleus,
A connection so pure, so ruinous.
To break us apart would shatter the skies,
An atomic ripple where the universe cries.
I’m a prisoner of my own fragile mind,
Padded walls meant to protect, yet confined.
But even here, the stabs still find my heart,
As darkness whispers, tearing me apart.

Moment of clarity
I'm sitting here.
Writing this down.
Knowing my thoughts are fleeting.
This thought that's come to mind.
I'm feeling ok.
No cares in the world.
Cause I'm not missing you.
Thruth. Had a drink.
A toke & a snort.
Mellow as the fiddlers three.
Like a pirate walking the plank.
Who's mate's donated rum rations.
Danced a jig on the plank did he.
As along he jigged to the end.
I'm not walking the plank.
I'll be alive tomo. Mañana.
I've been happy for a brief moment.
A rest bite...

Drain
You say it again, “You don’t love me,”
etching it into existence, carving it into stone.
The wall I once thought I had torn down,
you build it anew, brick by brick,
fortifying the distance between us.
We were once so steady, so alive with laughter,
but the light in your eyes flickers and fades.
Should I stay? I wonder,
as you drain my spirit,
leaving me hollow, weary from the fight.
It feels as though you thrive on breaking me,
pulling strength from my exhaustion.
I beg you to stop—
I don’t want to fight anymore, ...

Shackled
Shackled to humanity within, brevity of my past is in tact
I cannot soar or scrape at the sky without the bindings of my sincerest skin
And yet for all I hate in jest, I’ve never felt foul for a fondle or two
Mark myself and inside us all can be found that burning sickness of life
Repeat, retreat, reproduce, falling away into oblivion
The shadow of my soul flickers through the plummet, nothing retractable or ever to be forgotten
Mirrors of memory, igniting a myriad of happenstance, down to the most delicate and finest...
