A Part of the Northwest Manifesto
All this burst rain
bears the development of gills,
fins cannot handle mercurial
umbrellas and so these hands do not.
Spot the unswimmers, tourists,
underneath their mushroom air pockets
this is a known known--
a safe solution to snipping
resident inevitability, their freeze is cast
away from shields or are shields against you--
the unknown unknowns are building
a future island
(it won't always anticipate
the unguent of nature or nature's man)
out of backyard Mt. Rainier
and there molted...

Childless(cat) lady
Childless lady
Maybe she is barren but she wants one
Couple goes to the clinic hoping they can deliver
IVF recipe gives dreams to the unecumberded
Get home late didn’t see the text
All I see is I’m becoming a mother
Go to the hospital with dreams realized
On the way turn on the radio they said
IVF is against the law
So we go back to the family home
All that greets us is our Cats
Maybe she is barren but she wants one

Serenity
It's the calm,
before the bomb.
Excuse me madam,
I'm looking for Adam.
I've come a mighty long way,
But I've something to say!
Been searching for serenity....
Seems I can't afford the amenity.
It'll be three score, & ten years, that I've been in this body....
Would it be wrong, to say the foundation laid, was
somewhat shoddy?
Tell me, could you help me find Eve....
I think we need a reprieve.
It's only the mild,
Before the wild.
Excuse me sis,
I think something's amiss.
I have to take this...

Razboiul Ukraini
By years end, the war will end
And the small Russian will say “we did it”
And those in this country will blame the sunset
The orange boss from the land of oranges
But it is another ruse
Another means to sew resentment and hatred
Another means to sew division and suspicion
Yet it will remain true
Let those who earnestly seek after Truth
Know the body politik will once again never ratify
Those things which help everyone
Purely because experts say so
And the small Russian will say “we did it”
And those in this country will blame the sunset

Wish I could follow the truth
I will let you go,
Though it feels like you're woven into my soul.
Right now,
you seem like everything I need,
But without you,
I must learn to breathe.
I will let you go,
Someday your shadow won’t linger so.
I’ll think of other things,
Though my heart still aches and sings.
I will let you go,
And in that,
I’ll find myself again—
Everything good you once saw in me.
Yet, a part of you will stay,
A quiet warmth that time
won’t take away.
Though it feels like you're woven into my soul.
