Avoidance Avoided
Avoidance Avoided
At the breaking
Apart
Of the shackles
Of reason
Excuses
Run dry
At the seams,
And everything
After
Might be
A disaster
Except
When they visit
In dreams.
At the breaking
Apart
Of the shackles
Of reason
Excuses
Run dry
At the seams,
And everything
After
Might be
A disaster
Except
When they visit

Room dreams yucca memories
Whose windblown tears of sand
Gather in smoky leaves of tea
Whose stars float in cup of sky
While eaves rattle like the gourd
Whose seeds are the rain
Upon an ancient roof

The Salty Tears, Of The Dead
On the surface, bouncing, skimming stones
Where tails of Mermaids, splashed, in myriad tones
Beneath, where lay the drifting bones
Of the locker, of the fabled Davy Jones
Lured by the Sirens, succulently seductive, drones
Now lie beside, Poseidon's gilded, hallowed throne
by Jemia

Birth of a Hero: When She Mourns
Ashes are what's left of the grass
the oceans boil, and I hear her screaming
I know her tremor, I feel her in my trance
I watch her weep, I see her bleeding
Where are the guns, your lover's sword?
Your father's rage, the ship poised to sail
on your mother's fjord?
Where are your children?
do you shield their eyes?
When will you be ready to say goodbye?
Something shadows the horizon
beating wings that shake the wind...
I can hear the gods work their fists
I can feel the song our seeress sings
But will it...
the oceans boil, and I hear her screaming
I know her tremor, I feel her in my trance
I watch her weep, I see her bleeding
Where are the guns, your lover's sword?
Your father's rage, the ship poised to sail

Birth of a Hero: Berserker
Is this sacred, or is this madness?
I need power, dancing and twirling-
Oh how we spin...
Thirteen moons, fourteen suns
filled with lust, filled with blood
I was new, but what I've done
wasn't madness, you told me
you got this, you got this
but you spiraled out of control
So I watched them all fall
Tell your brothers not to fight
tell your mothers in order to protect
they must take their children and hide
Tell your friends it will be alright
I'll be there before the morning light
There's...
I need power, dancing and twirling-
Oh how we spin...

I was new, but what I've done

The Birth of a Hero
I know I've killed too much
still she moves, she touches me
my hands are covered in blood
but she kisses the ring
and places them on your altar
Where I sin, you say
there was never such thing
and tonight you anoint my brow
with the breath of war you sing
She kisses the lids of my eyes
cleans the blood from my lips
she chants through the night
dips color on my fingertips
There's a voice in my head
there's a hole in my chest...
And where I loved, you say
to love where and when I pleased ...
still she moves, she touches me
my hands are covered in blood
but she kisses the ring
and places them on your altar
Where I sin, you say
there was never such thing
and tonight you anoint my brow
with the breath of war you sing

Caution for ore
On fabled Mirrowmere where stars appear
that crowned the king for which legends sing,
Whose the tower sat above the endless stair
the mightiest Dwarven kingdom ever sat there.
Where we mined the metal Mithril bright
in splendid seams, our heart's delight;
the metal's true name kept secret and hoarded
only a Dwarf's great fiend is it rewarded.
Yet all that glitter beyond gold
made us be too greedy and bold
and so we lost might Dwarrowdelf
and its boundless precious wealth.

I Have Felt Your Softness In And Out Of Time
Euterpe, Greek Mythology Muse who represented and was the patron of Music. She is said to have invented the flute and other wind instruments. Her symbol was the Aulos, a type of double flute. Her name was derived from the Greek words meaning the “giver of much delight.”
Euterpe, Greek Mythology, giver of much delight
The redeemer of lyrics played sweetly, felt without the eyes of sight
Delight of the Gods sought in my alluring music
Instruments played of me softens the mind of any cherubic
Blessed with beauty, my music shall soar us in flight ...

Another Garden of Eden
Take me to the land of crystal rivers,
that glitter like a mirror for the gods.
Take me to the height for altruistic lords,
revered by the oppressed for being givers.
I dream of a world drowned in abundance
of joy infinite at its renaissance.
Where the warm rays of the tropical sun
soothe the pains of a bleeding wound by day.
Where nature entertains with so much fun,
like a funfair in the sweet month of may.
I smell the pleasant scent of flowers gay
pervading the plains of awe and wonder.
Where colourful fruits in season render ...

Empty handed
Standing before the gates of the end
Blue hair swaying in the silent wind
The blue glass gems moving along with it
The air softly touching her back and sides
Leggings barely providing any resistance to it
She'd been just walking to the mailbox
How easy life can come to the end
No cuts or scraps, just a brushing of bruising
Who knew how fast one could bleed out
Without ever spilling a drop of blood
And now she's staring at the gates to the afterlife
She used to joke about dressing in case you become a ghost
Tie dye crop top, black...

F D I O
For Aha, who suggested the theme. The story is taken from a Greek myth as told in Ovid’s Metamorphoses
And so King Jupiter stealthily raped
the pale nymph Io,
whose kind but stern father, the river god,
had thought her in his care.
But Kings have plans that must be carried out,
libidinal and otherwise. And as he watched
her pale naked form,
rarely touched by natural rays
but kept concealed beneath
a canopy of leaves within
her father’s dense chambers,
he longed to own the hourglass
that stretched from...
