Enchantment
I stood stock still
Under a shimmering silky sky
Now awash with a myriad stars
That hung
Like sleeping fireflies
In the deep deep depths
Of an infinite space
An Irish Gypsy Cob
It's silhouette
Danced Under the moonlight
It's eyes Could hypnotise
With it's sure, and steady gaze
Eyes ablaze
Beneath which
Long distant memories
Of fairy days
Where magic, was not a myth
And had remained
Within her beating heart
Tonight On this night of wonder
She came to me
I embraced ...

Sunday forenoon and a dog
Sunday forenoon and a dog
The Sunday market in the town
is slowing down, time for lunch
Chatty people leave
What is left is dust
Torn wrapping paper
And a dead dog near the bins
The cur’s snout is open, showing white teeth
The roof of the dog’s muzzle
is pink with brown spots
it must have been a young dog.
Silence.

Chasing The Wind
A pretty filly chasing the wind across the plains
She's never been broken, hobbled, or chained
With the sun bouncing off of her glistening chestnut mane
She swore to the elements that she would never be tamed
While he stood on a plateau rearing up at the sky
Snorting and hoofing the ground, watching as this filly fly
He yearned to join in, remembering his races with the wind
But to join may be the restraining of freedom, the ultimate sin
So like a lion looking over his pride, he looked over a potential addition to his harem
She had...

Imagining that we can see the wind
A thousand horses racing, the lead changing again and again
No one notices that they are all stallions
The mare, you, creates the challenge
The harder you run, the more they pursue
Hoof kicks and nips are dedicated to you
The strongest and fastest is destine to win this race

Tsunami or hurricane, you determine our pace

The Wooden Horse
I was sat astride
A wooden horse statue
In a town centre
In anywhere world
Where i'd found
Nestled behind its right ear
Some amazing
Multi-coloured
Unicorn nail varnish
And with each touch
Upon each nail
A soft marshmallowy
Small Unicorns horn arose
Half way through this
Two police officers turned up
And told me to get down
I explained to them
That as soon as i'd finished
Applying the nail varnish
That i would be on my way
And besides
I wasn't causing any problem
Or damage
And...

The Dolphin
He sat on the terrace thinking of his four children
their mother was a dolphin who lived in a pool behind the houses.
She begged me to set her free, I did and saw her swim away
jumping of joy
Her children were obese full of blubber, and had small arms and feet.
When we went on my boat fishing, they, when catching fish
ate them raw.
When old enough, my children joined their mother had settled
near the Azores, where the sea was mild.
I was on a ship passing the island when they swam alongside and waved.
The transformation was...
