lush verdurous greens
moist from a kiss of rain,
grow ground up in a surround
aim willful penetration
into muggy tear kissed skies
jasmine vines
bend, sway and curl climb up
massive tree trunks
gnarling themselves
through fenced shrubbery
to peek fanciful fare
o' harvest my haggard heart!

This house is not a home
it's just bare white rental walls
we're not approved to decorate
We don't own anything nice
sleep on mattresses on the floor
and you somehow think that's normal
living so cheaply we wake up in pain
