Funky Cold Medina - with Everavalon
On a lonely street of buckling cobblestones, time has passed by. An elderly lady moves into an old Victorian-style home across the street from an abandoned cemetery overgrown with weeds and shadows of dark clouds overhead echoing a muted pendulum as if thunder with strep throat and the trees shorn of leaves were suffering from gout. Approaching the house, she could sense that the house resented her company. With every step, the house screamed from the bottom of its throat. She thought the house, her Funky Cold Medina, aphrodisiac. a gothic order of nuns teaching the dead. The dead, the voices...

Great Devourer
A whisper crawls through void and night
A shroud that dims the astral light
No stars can pierce its ashen veil
No beacon bright nor comet’s trail
It chokes the ether, drowns the call
The silent dread that grips them all
A psychic fog, relentless, vast
Consuming futures, devouring past
An unseen tide that swallows thought
Where hopes and dreams are bound and caught
It feasts on prayers and rends the mind
Leaving only the hollow behind
A hunger born of endless black
A ceaseless thirst that won’t retract ...

Diabolical Oculus
They walk behind with stolen tread
A mirror’s shade of pallid dread
No breath to speak, no eye to see
Yet mock the soul in mockery
They stalk the steps where shadows creep
And haunt the corners dark and deep
With hollow eyes and voiceless call
They mimic life, yet not at all
By Babylon's rivers, dark and wide
They steal the visions prophets cried
Like Jeremiah’s weeping scroll
They haunt the pathways of the soul
They carry words like whispers thin
With hints of wrath and hidden sin
Each gesture wrong, each smile askew...

Carpathian Noble
Surrounded by an aura’s gentle light
Yet shadows deep doth watch with hungry eye
In secret, biding time till waning night
And softly whispers, “Come, sweet dark, draw nigh.”

I feel thy breath upon mine pallid skin
A tempest stirred in darkness deep within.”

Halloween air in June
My hand breaks the surface and
parts the night-grass
on my grave.
My eyes roll back
as wind kisses my fingertips
and I revel in the taste of
fecund soil in my mouth.
The ground undulates
as if the very earth
were gravid
with me
something happened.
and I tear through the
universe’s placenta
with my dirty nails,
feral and filthy
dusky and filled
with living night,
My chest heaves against
the white linen dress ...

3:33AM
Pain hits hard enough to wake me up
~again… damn it… again~
prayin to empty bottles of pills
Ignite the soothing away of pain
please, refill… please
hands shakin & can hardly see
cant make it to phone, legs achin so bad,
been so busy perfecting hatred an resentment lately
that forgot to practice smiling
an bein grateful for what already got
though at the moment
cant seem to remember anything to be grateful for
3:33am
what the fuk is so special about 3:33

Something Whooshed...!
Something Whooshed…!
On a planet, in a country, in a state, in a town,
on a street where a lampost shines
and the houses, very warm, quiet dreamers in their sleep
like a hush after church bell chimes.
Something whooshed on the wind in the distance.
Something galloped in the lime moonlight
and its wings cut the air into slices of Fear
which it tossed in the night with delight.
And I shivered with a tremble and began to disassemble
with the fright now fused to my bones.
Slices landed on the rooftops, slid across...

Apocalypse Day
Apocalypse Day
When I opened my eyes, the day rushed in.
It was sunny and beautiful and devoid of sin.
With lawnmowers running, children’s voices played
on a breeze off the coast this weekend’s Saturday.
I waved at my neighbors, Sam, Ernie and Mack.
They busied with yard work but smiled and waved back.
I looked for my car keys. The cupboard was bare
but what was this something I sensed in the air?
An eerie, gut wrenching thickness of black…
Wait! That’s when I heard it, a lightning crack.
I raised my head. The neighbors...

The Werewolf
The Werewolf
I saw it in the moonbeams, just beneath the star streams,
running like a wild thing as if in chase or flight.
Cold breaths, short breaths, smokes of a night quest
whistled through its fangs making slices of the night.
Wolf made of mankind howled at the moon sign.
Forest eyes blinked their fears across the forest floor.
Squirrel sounds, owl sounds, bird sounds, bat sounds
merged to flee in symphony their voices from the roar.
A smell mixed in wind’s blow made eyes of wolf to seek...

Kino Hospital
Been in psych before,
but Kino’s the worst,
Don’t know how people are supposed to get better
in a place like this,
The air is stale,
no open windows,
no fan, no fresh water
Man, stay calm,
I gotta breath
fresh clean air, I thirst…
Nurses & orderlies on power trips
they do not try, no,
No help or relief comin from them,
No private shower,
you use the public shower,
Where you walk in barefoot
with the shit stains on the shower floor & wall,
no warm water, just ice cold water,
that stays on for 15...

Nameless To Me
It is nameless to me,
It has no name,
It lays there crying, in the fetal position as a child would,
First sounding like small whimpering,
Then rises to a more audible cry,
Something that even I can hear;
Words soon form, asking “Why” what is its crime,
Why am I doing this to it…
Hahaha…
There is no crime noted,
Nothing for to atone,
Just felt this particular way today,
And this smile, that particular feeling that comes over me
When am feeling extra...

We are striding into the new year with news
of an earthquake that got people to sit up instead
of slumping on the sofa watching a Netflix
banalities
Inundated with film, one realizes most of them are hastily put together and consist of a dramatic fight
scenes, the hero wins and gets the girl.
This morning, the news again focused on Japan
a plane landing collided with a stationary plane
five people were killed, which was lucky
we give great press by airport accidents
Ten people dead in a motorway accident have not ...
