Steaming into knowledge
A flame that is blue
I could burn with it forever
That's what I understand, walking in my shoes
Sweating intensely
My hair drenched with smoke
I'm reaching the highest climate
Don't know where else to go
Burning with what I need most
I'll push away the cold
The thought of my heart on auction
With people bidding till I'm sold
I don't mind the fire
It's making me know what's true
I'll let it leave me scars
For it knows just what to do...

She is fire, strong uncontrollable fire
The vains in her body boil her blood
She exhales only smoke and ash
Burning her trachea on its way up
A curse, a force
But ignored
He sits, he breaths, he thinks, he handles
Both feet on a path to a logical future
His comfort is unearned confidence
Laughing at pretension and insincerity

He Piled up the past, set it ablaze.
Under Sapphire twilight
Specked with diamonds.
The fox watched the red hot light

Hungry winter flames

Dark in the city shines our girl
combat boots in summertime
bringing the fire to all things new
sunrise and untapped love
she's all ideas and possibilities
never pausing to grasp reality
you stepped right into her fast track
unprepared
and now scorched earth is where you stand
caught up in her orbit
sunburned without a plan
blindsided
And she shines so bright
you were blindsided
Under the chaos shines our girl
gritting her teeth in wintertime
daring the fire to shelter her

Dark Runaway
I am the emptiness, the blackness
What lies beyond the shell that burns,
Leaving nothing but shadow in its' wake.
That is how I describe the torment
Of the pain that comes from the past.
Every time I run, I remain the same
As I was before I left home years ago.
I have a new home now, but no less
Than my heart, for greater peace yearns,
Though how of peace can I ever partake?
And so my darkness is given vent
For the light is fleeting, never to last.
I can no longer the cruel fire tame
So I become the flame for all to know. ...

The body doesn't reject a finger
because once it didn't do as it should,
nor twice, nor thrice, nor countless times.
She does not
spill bones into streets
for not performing
in adequate measure. Often
when something breaks,
or fails to perform
we tenderly coerce it back to movement,
we drain out ideas of failure
and linger with it longer
nursing the strength
back into its form.
I took what you said
when you said it
where you said it
with great bitterness,
that I was a nurse,
that no one should ...
