Poems about Fire
#fire
Beauty and danger, poems about fire use flames and fire as inspiration, warmth, fantasy and metaphor in poetry.
Still
Beneath the sun there
Is darkness still
Between the embers
There is warmth
Underneath your eyes
There is burden
Before death
There is still time
And between your lips
There is no lies
The birds still chirp
In mourning
The tide still
Sees the shore
Between us
There is nothing
Yet your desire
Has despair in store
Is darkness still
Between the embers
There is warmth
Underneath your eyes
There is burden
Before death
There is still time
And between your lips
There is no lies
The birds still chirp
In mourning
The tide still
Sees the shore
Between us
There is nothing
Yet your desire
Has despair in store

Firestorm
Firestorm
Firestorm from heaven
Dances blue flame heart song
In blue avalanche eyes that tear through pretense
With supernova gaze into the soul of schoolboys
Whose hearts pound the literature of her book
Of spells that hex them into the heart of love
As they firewalk on her red hot coals
That burn like a solar flare aimed at their hearts
To singe their root with velvet fury
When her bonfire incinerates all chains
That bound them to the man of yesterday
While they orbit her like moths to a lamp
But her glow falls like...

You are the fire, a radiant blaze,
Kindling passion in a thousand ways.
Your touch, electric, sets my heart aglow,
Your voice, a siren's call, it does bestow.
Your smile, a sunbeam that lights my world,
Your lips, like velvet, their secrets unfurled.
Together we burn, a flame untamed,
Desire and longing, forever unnamed.
I offer my all, heart and soul intertwined,
In unity, our spirits forever aligned.
Like blossoming lotuses, we rise above,
A love so pure, a testament to love.
You are my everything, my reason to...

Olive
My favorite color is green
I’ve often been described as a dark forest green
Sometimes a light sage
Most of the times though,
I wish someone would call me green fire
Made from acids
A source of power to some
Capable of only death and decay to others
I want to be untouchable

I Made Fire
Yesterday, I ignited a flame,
In the woods where I had lost my way.
The chill of the hike didn't cause me distress,
A touch of rust, not worried, I must confess.
Awaiting rescue from the wild I braved,
The fire's warmth sparked thoughts, and I craved
To glimpse prehistoric life's ancient lore,
Imagining the first touch, what it held in store.
Picture the awe of mortal mankind's first fire,
From peril to power, a transformative desire.
In the dance of flames, nature harnessed and tamed,

Peer through the flame
And see hallway to heaven
I want to reach in
But it’s too soon to die now
Wick sparkles to remind me
“Back off, you silly little mortal boy”
Look, don’t touch this lovely glow
Or the room will be gone forever
And see hallway to heaven
I want to reach in

Wick sparkles to remind me

The Realm of Golden Beams and Gentle Caresses
In the realm where golden beams ignite,
Passion's fervent chase, ablaze with light.
Cheeks stained with crimson, yearning's plea,
A flush of ardor, soul's awakening, set free.
A gentle caress of water's embrace,
Delights that shiver, veiling truths in grace.
A stream of dreams, a whispering flow,
Stirring depths within, where secrets glow.
Savor the freedom, the sea's reign untamed,
Gliding through depths, liberation unchained.
With each stroke, unravel the unknown,
Leaving ripples of longing, passion sown.

Orange Beauty
Light flickering unheard
yet to call it silent would be absurd
burning and twisting, molding and re-creating
so foreign yet somehow always relating.
Ashes rise from her death,
but there is still hope for another breath
just waiting and watching for another chance
to hypnotize with her seductive dance.
Smoke on the horizon, warnings in the night
letting us know that it would be alright
knowing that the destruction would be brief
but her glorious orange, beautiful beyond belief.

Perception
The rain has stopped and left a fresh perfume
A scent that makes me feel both calm and close
It smells like earth and flowers in full bloom
That lingers in the air and fills my nose
The beauty of this natural delight
But you, my dear, do not appreciate
A chemical reaction, nothing bright
You say it's just a sign of changing state
You call it preposterous petrichor perception
A fancy phrase for something plain and dull
You think it's just a matter of deception
A trick of mind that makes the senses lull
But I, my...

Unto The World We Give (Faith-COTS)
The North we give unto you the Fire
The South we give unto you the Sea
The East we give unto the Earth
The West we give unto you Air
To the temple of the Sun that radiates upon humanity of the world
Tell us why humans allow violence from the hearts instead of love from mortal minds to unfurl
Do you not see, can you not comprehend the codes given from the skies
The enigma to longevity is not found in a Holy Book used to place a hand upon and then confess out the mouth concealed lies

Winter Queen
Winter white of my Queen’s desire the hunter of the night has come. She nods to me to let him in, and I desire nothing more. Upon his back he carries the skins and bones of coyote hunted in the darkness of the forest pines, while the bear is left to sleep beneath the stones and roots, intertwined. He lays them upon the alter along with many dried, white petals of datura blossoms and sets them to flames of orange. Their calming scent so tenderly seductive but without any warmth in winter’s crisp, cool air. I breathe in deeply, hoping she is unaware of the dreams the smoke and flames whisper to...

Firefly
In the pale light of a world gone cold,
only the light from the firefly foretold
that there was still beauty to be found,
all you had to do was look around.
The painful scars of mistakes she did bear
wearing them likes lights to share,
showing the world you can survive the fall
if only you choose to stand tall.
Pen to paper was her way of taking flight,
on her sacred mission to light the night,
never knowing just how far her words go
or who's heart she may show
how to light it's flame once again.
Oh sweet little firefly burning...
only the light from the firefly foretold
that there was still beauty to be found,
all you had to do was look around.
The painful scars of mistakes she did bear
wearing them likes lights to share,
showing the world you can survive the fall
