Holding My Breath
As sweet as chocolate, your words tasted
Like a silken drape coating my tongue in luster
And as swiftly as sand in water, my heart immersed
Sinking deep with the riveting flow, wrapped up in a flicker
When everything ceased, leaving only a lingering scent
My hands kept grasping at a waft of what you left
Counting down seconds, yearning for the next
Holding my breath until your warmth was felt

Reflection of Tears
Crying into the ocean, I lose my way,
To add to the sea, where sorrow will stay.
To see the reflection of me dissolve,
I cry as the waves around me revolve.
To see, then fall, and splash into the tide,
Where tears and the water forever collide.
I cried into a river, where currents collide,
To see my tear just washed away.
On the bank, I did stand by the rushing tide,
My tears fell to the land, destined to stay.
The river consumed all I could resolve,
My cries to its waters did slowly dissolve.
I cried in a puddle, where...

exhaustion
When I say I'm exhausted
I mean go away
I mean I need a break
that involves large silences
and no people
I don't mean keep talking
or texting or asking for face time
I don't mean I want smoke signals
or morse code
or a message in a goddamn bottle
I mean leave me alone
because my heart and mind are heavy
and I've forgotten how to breathe
and my thoughts are a heartbeat
I need to calm into something with soft edges
because the world is sharp
and leaves me scratched up
when I spend too much time...

I want to sink deep into your oceans,
to taste your red berry lips,
as we merge forms—two essences
in a cascade of color.
Falling summer jade,
touching your shade of ivory
on a breeze of titillating sensations
when I glimpse your eyes.
I envision you on beds of pearls,
lying supine, motionless,
swimming in your crimson seas
as we intricately intertwine.
The euphoria of pleasure
ripples through the fibers of your being—
you reach for me like a child,
erupting with catharsis.

Cruel fate
Is it wrong to want you even though you're not single any more, why didn't I take my chances its not like I hadn't had a chance before
I known you for such a long time but believed we could only stay as mates, though we often went out together we never went on dates
But now you've found someone new and I'm feeling all alone, I find myself thinking about you all the time and looking at the pictures on my phone
Pictures of us having so many great memories my god we had some fantastic times, now I've realised I want you and am left...
