Just Because
Love doesn’t always mean
Holding on
Tightly
Sometimes it means
Letting go
So the other person
Can go
Peacefully
Holding on
Tightly
Sometimes it means
Letting go
So the other person
Can go
Peacefully

It fell from the sky
It spreads through the air
Dissolving the body internally
This can't be cured
You'll die a turbulent death
Pressure building inside your skull
Eyes popped out, fall on the ground
Tympanum burst you bleed from your ears
Spasmodic convulsion, your moribund
Loss of consciousness, body fluids oozing Out
Coagulated blood, punctured lungs erode
Softening of the brain, muscle contractions uncontrolled
Puss filled bruises
Maggots munch your flesh
Cerebral meningitis
Swollen cranium explodes
Malignantly slaughtered ...

Letting Go
You are the beauty in my soul
Something that I didn’t realize made a hole
Why did you have to go
Why did I let you go
You are the bird that sings.
That swoops around a little playful thing
Why did you have to go
Why did I let you go
You were a typhoon
In the quiet of my room
Why did you have to go
Why did I let you go
Now you are an ache
In the center, where you pushed the stake
Why did you have to go
Why did I let you go
I lay here taking...

Why did you have to go

You are the bird that sings.

a place to rest
sadness desires also a place to rest
an oasis of wildflowers and green
blue skies and gentle rain
resting in the field the sunshine
doesn't cast shadows
on the long days that drain
she cavorts where the shaded grief
remembers her name
without overwhelming
and the sunflowers can grow
waving on the winds
producing seeds with the poppies
rolling hills sigh because nature provides
relief to a weary soul
rising early in the morn to catch the mist
and converse with wisdom
the man from which all grows...

Erosion of Time
Time has been unforgiving
to my mortal wounds.
My soul lay exposed
beneath a bone white moon.
Contemplation at the day's end.
Is time a formidable opponent
or a faithful friend?
When will it be our time?
Will a ladder to eternity
be there to climb?
Who will read my final rhyme?
We waste our days,
in a grossly over thought maze.
You may cherish a memory
Were you even present or
did your attention flee?
We are told the now
is where happiness resides
The abysmal past
is our usual alibi. ...

The door of death (Triolet)
It's fatal to wait; try today
There may not be a tomorrow.
The door of death may choose to sway.
It's fatal to wait; try today.
For if the night steals you away,
For many, will come great sorrow.
It's fatal to wait; try today
There may not be a tomorrow.
There may not be a tomorrow.
The door of death may choose to sway.
It's fatal to wait; try today.
For if the night steals you away,
For many, will come great sorrow.
It's fatal to wait; try today
There may not be a tomorrow.

The Definition of Love
Are you at peace?”
It’s not far-fetched of you to ask me
in your prayers each night
and thoughts each day
The much-known concept of lives
swallowed by the living each year
Firstly, when we are physically birthed
and slapped into breath;
secondly, when we wake to purpose
and life slaps us into a vessel
for something greater than ourselves
The lesser-known concept
of two deaths is fully understood
on this side of the veil
Firstly, when our...

THE END OF ONAN
He spilled his seed
doing the deed,
not let if flow
where it should go -
into the wife
he took for life
and make a heir
for late brother.
He was struck dead
(while still in bed?)
condemning wife
to widowed life.

LIFE IS A ROAD TRIP
No matter
when or where
we made our
advent into
the world;
we began a
journey down,
or up, the
road of life.
Along the way
"101" ups and
downs meet us
on our journey.
We have tried
to extend life
with pills and tucks,
but the journey
on life's road continues;
it gets faster the
longer we have
traveled our road.
Up ahead, either
closer than ever, or
still at a distance,
The DEAD end is
reached. Yet, death
isn't the end of us,
as long as someone
remembers...
when or where
we made our
advent into
the world;
we began a

The Way We Were
In the last days of the techno world
Civility sank under hatred's weight
And degrading epithets were hurled
Thinking that the thing making great men great.
The leadership led with a Gong Show gong
To pocket pick the people's attention
Away from distinguishing right from wrong
Or who deserved an honorable mention.
Then one day there was something amiss
As nature took our sapience to task
With the sort of thing we couldn't dismiss
Without wearing an exceptional mask!
One that kept evil out of our face
As it symbolized our social...

Have you ever had a dream that woke you up, in a cold sweat till you can feel it to your 🩻 bones. As though the deepness of the dream, was trying to tell you something in codes. 🤔 Yet you know that you are alive, with a strong heart beating and pounding in your chest. As you inhale and exhale, the flesh air breeze blowing through your lungs, to breathe life. FROM within your body and spiritual soul. 🙏 Yet you can't shake the deepness of the, truth of the inner images of your mind thoughts. For sure what does it all mean, 🤔 could it be a sign of things to come,...
