Poems about Dawn
#dawn
Poems about dawn, sunrise; the first appearance of light in the sky in the morning. Dawn poetry about the beginning of the day, when the world wakes up.
Inertia
..
it does not matter
before sunset
everyone will die
sooner or later...
the ones you love
the ones you hate
those that don't matter
sooner or later
everyone will die
it does not matter
after sunset

Pastoral Delight
pastoral delight
Poesy is the moo of the cow
And the bleat of the sheep
The caw of the crow
And the hiss of the creep
Poesy is the hush in the forest
And the thunder of the tempest
Fear in the trees that whoosh
Crickets lying low in the bush
And when the weather is heat
In the pastures you hear the bleat
When the sky is azure blue and neat
The walk invites you to stretch your feet
Come along hear nature's real poesy
cement walls reflect only morbid heresy...

Beyond The Old Stone Bridge
I sprang forth like a Geyser, outside and up onto the mountain.i got that eager whim coming from a tweeter outside my house,a chirping call in jocund vibes cast a spell on me
From home, at dawn's dawning beam, as the sun still dozing behind the line, like an invitaton to scan and span the whole lands of the hills, passing over the old bridge, the moment stood still, time froze like a snap shot from long ago eons, black and white, as the mist with its heavy weight lays its thick cloak on the distant hills, swallowing the green pine forest like an ogre would...

the past re visited
the past revisited
He was going back to his home in a tiny village from
where people congregated living close together and professed to hate it, the absence of war had cost the country dearly, and unemployment was high, like the enforced idleness had made people apathetic
there were no cars on the road, petrol was too expensive
for people, as was electricity to recharge batteries
how the situation was in other countries, no one knew as the fabled internet was forbidden
it had it was said
a bad influence on the young who believed the rubbish ...

come, be with me
come, share
this time,
let that
drunk sun
fall,
let us
be together
when darkness
descends
upon us,
these hours,
let us
unfold
our hearts,
sooth
ourselves in
the night,
and come
for morning,
still lie
beside me.

Shadows’ Light
Beneath the sun, my shadow trails,
Silhouette of untold tales.
In daylight's dance, it softly glides,
A companion in warmth that gently abides.
As dusk unveils its subtle sheen,
Long and lean, on twilight's screen.
In daylight's grasp, where secrets lie,
A silent partner, steps nearby.
As dusk descends, stretching tall,
A silhouette on the evening's wall.
In the dance of light and twilight's theme,
My shadow whispers, a silent dream.

In daylight's dance, it softly glides,
A companion in warmth that gently abides.

Fire Wizard
In the dawn of the day,
when the sky is ablaze,
a fire wizard warrior rises,
his amazing power.
With flames in his eyes,
and magic in his hands,
he strides through the desert,
across the red sands.
His muscles are taut,
his spirit is strong,
he battles with honor,
and never does wrong.
The heat of the sun,
is no match for his fire,
he burns with a passion,
that never will tire.
So if you should see him,
in the dawn's early light,
remember this warrior,
and his power so bright.

Bed
Bed
I slept on the papyrus of your chest,
unafraid, and navigated
that testosterone trail of dark hair,
contrast to your light,
free of fear,
that stomach,
the leaned, left thigh -
soft fingers, laced on fingers,
pressed against cotton -
Sun blew her ghost
through the ruffled curtain pleat,
and we fumbled underneath words,
beyond rational thought,
beneath the natural merging
of hope and an ideal
we went on,
made sighed out promises,
traded elements of ourselves
replaced by something...

The Dreamtime!
There's a static that shows, when eyes are closed,
energizing the tinge in every dream
and so simpatico with the moon beam
as to be more than merely juxtaposed;
much, much, more than coevolution wove
through eons of savage savanna sleep
waxing and waning our unconscious deep
to become the neurological trove
of classical cogency and power;
from jealous Jove to each ennead muse
as a slow burning incandescent fuse
In fullest force at the midnight hour,
Only to fade at the break of day...
Like a candle flame...the...

Microcosm of a Good Afternoon
Golden petals adoring roaring beams,
Lions mane emerges amongst field of green.
A glorious marvel for beauty so brief,
A ferocious faith to bearing belief.
Fleeting florals don't diminish their glow,
Leaves may wither, but dreamers don't.
Just as the pride doesn't fear the fall,
Resilient stems stretch higher,
seeking sun from soil.
From prelude to wormfood;
Though our time may be short lived,
And our paths may not be linear or revised.
The rough terrain tore a hole in the ground where we both could flourish. ...

Sorority
The moon was paired by Jove today,
Almost at meridian height,
Just as the night was dying away
In the glory of first morning light.
And beholding this in our backyard
Was myself and my two eyes
As moonbeams were by daylight barred
From the ever brightening skies.
Then the last to fade was Jupiter
When Aurora took Apollos's reigns
And the Moon's fat crescent smiled at her,
As colleague welkin suzerains,
Exchanging looks as each understood...
Their twilight was a sisterhood.

THROW THOSE CURTAINS WIDE
Throw those curtains wide,
let daylight inside,
lighten all the room,
chase away night gloom.
Let it shine on you,
be night-clothed or nue,
in its warmth bathe in
as it touches skin.
Feel the face of God
look upon your bod,
your soul deep into;
He created you.
Said, "Let there be light!":
then world came in sight.
On its face sprung life,
good without sin's strife.
Let that light of day
inspire you on way
lighting up your path
