I'm Going To Meet Her At The Airport
I’m going to meet her at the airport in an hour.
I’ll get there early, no second-guessing.
I don’t care whether it’s a fair day in Acapulco or not,
I’m going on a trip with her, rain or shine.
She sounds so excited on the telephone.
I don’t want to miss my flight.
If I arrive late, it will ruin our vacation.
I’m going to take a shower and get dressed quickly.
Pick out a matching necktie for my shirt.
Thank you for the coffee,
But don’t serve the fairy cakes.
Check the bag for me;

A Skip to The Loo
With the dawning of my daily consciousness I realized that our English cousins used to be "smashing!" and in more recent times have become "brilliant!". I have spent a lifetime now hemming and hawing between the two only to finally conclude that they must sometimes be... "brilliantly smashing!". In this dream, we are together,
Inside a naff café -
Chatting over coffee...
Smiling.
Ok, maybe I still desire the special grill but hey,
Don't be distracted -
It'll help me concentrate;
Not that I need to, because,
I have examined each cute dimple,
Hook, line and sinker, that exist,
On your pretty little face.
I love your story too...
In fact, I wanna learn so much more!
You are perfectly imperfect with all your flaws;
Without them, you are NOT you, rather,
A cheap imitation -
And who needs that,...
