They Called It Murder (Cozy Mystery)
This story starts quite odd, since I did not get involved until they called it murder.
My name is Kate Wells. I am the top investigative reporter of the Inwood Feline Gazette. You may not have heard of us since we are not nationally known, but the news must be reported, even if it’s mundane.

Know Your Worth, If You Have Any
The cat has nine lives and revered among the universe
We are sacred among Egypt and each dimension of soft meows are heard
I can push the heart, the soul as I invade the mind
Love, faith, compassion, there is a time to shine, a time to be kind
The in between falls on my time

WAKING UP TO ANOTHER RAVEN POEM (3-7-2001; Galveston Island, Texas)
still asleep
i sensed his close
silent stare
i heard his comforting
steadily rumbling inner
purr r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r r
as i felt his fine
double coated manx fur
on his warm
loving paw pad
gently touching my shoulder
then the rough dry lick
of his sandpaper tongue s
sweet tender cat kiss
upon my lower lip
to let me know he was there
so delicately trying to wake me
i slowly awaken
whereupon first opening my eyes
I looked up
into his close up loving gaze
only four inches...
i sensed his close

cat people tend to be the butt of jokes
you know the old saying...
...crazy cat lady...guilty as charged
let me tell you something though
these ladies saved me
when we entered isolation status
they were my only companions
my motivation to keep moving
Bella is the eldest...rolling into her 16th year
just starting to show signs of dementia
leaving the room & crying...as if to say
I can't remember where I left ya
she always calms when I call out
you'd never know it now...
but in her youth...

The Three Doors
Wandering through a small forest
I came across an old gnarled tree
As i drew even closer
It had a doorway i could see
It was all wonky, and misshapen
My curiosity took control
As i pushed it wide open
It swallowed me whole
I was sucked into a world of cats
Some were flying, some sound asleep
And others were simply walking around
With purrings so very deep
Others gently brushed my legs
Guiding me like that
Leading me to another cat
Which was sat upon a mat
This cat then spoke to me
Saying "i purr therefore i...

Tough little geezer.
I had a cat, a tough little geezer
found him on a dump, inside an old freezer,
he was cold and hungry and as wet as a puddle
and the least I could do was give him a cuddle.
I stretched in to save him from harm
and the little bugger, he bit my arm!
I knew he was frightened
so I forgave him this sin,
but then his claws sank into my skin.
I called him a name
which he couldn't keep
as his claws sank, ever deep,
and hissing and spitting, he stood his ground
so I had to concede, this very first round.
I closed the lid on the old...

Comfort thy head on my bosom, lay upon your desires unto me
My beautiful dalliance I arch, invitational in its suppleness for your eyes to see
