Waiting on the Wings
Sometimes you have to wait for the right time
For the right place
And when the time comes \ / we know it by heart
Because it just feels right \ / it just feels great
A butterfly knows exactly toO and by natural instinct
When it’s time to transform (.) when it’s time to change
The fantastic metamorphosis(…) is an awakening
Of mind, of body, of spirit, (….) and everything within
Slowly taking shape and form \ / all the while waiting on the wings
For the right place

Sultry Sensations
fluttering butterflies in a warm haze,
summer's been sultry for so many days
humidity lingers in the air,
AC keeps calling whenever I'm there
whenever I'm outside molecules of skin
rub against molecules of water within
the atmosphere's moving gentle embrace
bringing cooling sensations as off I race -
bumblebees buzzing from flower to flower
sultry or not for the sweet power
to fly, to hover, move backwards and flee
whatever threatens a bumblebee -
crystals crystalizing under the earth
mycelium too...
