rot gut
are you angry?
because I didn't tell you everything
each little detail of my past & present
I don't feel obliged to disclose my life story
you wanted my reality
i've shared some
it's been ugly & nasty
some beautiful victories
mostly beaten into the ground
just to brush the dust off
& walk on
i'm a fighter
I don't know how to lie down & quit
I'll go 12 rounds
with the monsters...
