A naughty girl
Once upon a time a little girl was going to take her doll for a walk when there she was, meeting two nice little birds
She dropped them a pretty little bow and said to them,
"Good afternoon, little birds, will you play with me?"
"I have some lovely candy in my little bag"
"I'll give you some"
One of the birds said, "I have no objection"
and the other said, "Neither do I"
They enjoyed themselves very much until it was nearly evening
Then the little birds said, "We want to go away now"
But...

With outstretched arms, nature calls to me
With the sunrise and birdsong
The wildflowers in the garden
dazzle my vision
the trees hold up the sky
I knew it was going to be a beautiful day
sacred harmony, everything working in order after their kind
My day started as all days, feeding the cats
Chickens and roosters mine eat together
It's a funny alliance
My dog, still asleep in bed will need to be walked soon
But for now, it is a quiet morning of observation
The earth is humming, and whether you realize it...

What is it about the moon
What is it about the moon that always appear in the night skies, through the process of the months that has us so hypnotize, by the glow of the aura shape and shine like a bright light, up in the sky. For sure what does it mean 🤔when you lose your own chains of thoughts, and insight into the deepness of the moon, glow of the truth that slowly, begins to draw our energy as well as our attention. For it even goes deeper than deep, into a different perspective on life. Yet for the wolf it's a change of the world 🌎 that comes, with an aura that has a stronger hold on the mind and...

beauty in chaos
the roaring sky cried in joy
pearly droplets of tears,
the parched soil quickly
soaked up
every ounce of rain;
in between heavens and earth,
the wind ran berserk.
the clatter...the commotion
caused some stir-
a zealous acceptance
of the change of weather,
inspiring leaves to dance,
and trees to sway,
in intoxicating merriment
the flowers sprang
in a bountiful spray,
while animals and birds ...

migratory miracle
1 of 30
it is it's own precious gift
the migration
eagerly witnessed by many
a soul healing vibration
the trill...the hum
an indescribable song
calming of thought
a delight simply to watch
as dance & courtships ensue
a momentary pause
before journey once more begins
& span of wings carry aloft
taking sacred song & moving on
& then the unexpected miracle
a rarity among the flock
a single singer unlike the rest
a special beauty
standing out
simply by being

The Nostalgic Nightingale
Perched on a withering branch
The nightingale sings a melancholic song
With a voice that remembers the past
Like echoes of spring from long, long ago
As the wind stirs amidst the trees
The nightingale sings a despondent tune
A winged memory of open blue skies
Now painted with a little more gloom…
But at night the nightingale sits in silence
Warm in the nest looking up at the stars
While the wind whispers amidst the trees
And leaves fall gently on the ground
The little bird reminisces of times
Of days lived and laughed and gone ...

High Noon Noel
Clean the gutters
hang the lights
watch the flutters
in jaybird flights
squirrels and Yule nuts
by the frosty yard
wiggle wee furry butts
in stashing them so hard
and then the little tits
come and go so fast
it's hard to scan the plumage flits...
wherever they've amassed.

The Cardinal
Yesterday
I said I had not seen a cardinal
in a while
as though
speaking directly to the universe
Today
I looked out the back window
and right then
a cardinal
landed on the Earth
and leapt onto the steps
and onto a stone on the steps
And looked into my soul.
Ambrosia red
Enrapture

Sparrow Song
Tiny birds are blessed with the best of songs;
take a good walk and you’ll notice.
Blue jays wear their beauty in feathers, not voices,
pigeons and doves just quietly mourn,
crows and grackles caw and… grack,
seagulls squawk and woodpeckers drum,
and even the largest of eagles
can only manage a pitiful squeak.
But stand in a wood and you’ll hear before you see them-
the ones who warble and sing and trill.
Their nondescript browns and grays are deceptive
as their glamour shows best when you close your eyes.
Yes, the smallest...
take a good walk and you’ll notice.
Blue jays wear their beauty in feathers, not voices,
pigeons and doves just quietly mourn,
crows and grackles caw and… grack,
seagulls squawk and woodpeckers drum,
and even the largest of eagles
can only manage a pitiful squeak.

Not to Kill the Pianist's Mockingbird (A Sonnet in Dark Tones)
In somber hues, the dusk begins to play,
a dirge on keys of silence, sharp and deep.
A mockingbird croons echoes of decay,
its solemn songs where wounded shadows creep.
The pianist sits as a phantom of the stage.
Fingers like ghosts upon a weathered score.
Each note, a tale of grief—a mourning cage.
A hymn for lives that fate shall keep no more.
Yet still, the strings of night refuse to break,
their mournful whispers thread through midnight’s veil.
The mockingbird and pianist awake...
A dance of death where sorrow...
a dirge on keys of silence, sharp and deep.

Who Let The Birds Out
I had to chase these quitters all over my community yesterday, led by King Quan, of course (The Red Neck Culprit).
I had to capture their fifteen minutes of fame, once again.
Enjoy Your Wednesday Afternoon
