The Turkey Bird Song
We love meaty, big plump birds
They gobble and rarely fly
On the chopping block it goes
Don't feel sorry, no need to cry
Pluck it's feathers make it smooth
Spread cranberry sauce like sap
Spread its legs for stuffing
Leftovers galore for a midnight snack
Wings are Flappin
Necks are Snappin
Turkey Slappin
If you haven't heard
This bird is the word
A feast fit for a king
Nothing more this bird can sing
He gobbled his way into our hearts
The only song we have, are these loud, smelly farts
They gobble and rarely fly
On the chopping block it goes
Don't feel sorry, no need to cry
Pluck it's feathers make it smooth
Spread cranberry sauce like sap
Spread its legs for stuffing
Leftovers galore for a midnight snack
Wings are Flappin
Necks are Snappin
Turkey Slappin
If you haven't heard
This bird is the word
A feast fit for a king
Nothing more this bird can sing
He gobbled his way into our hearts
The only song we have, are these loud, smelly farts

State of Today
Wicked winds blow
As the earth shakes and trembles
Volcanoes glow
With dancing demonic angels
The ocean rises under the pressure of the moon
Whales beach themselves, welcoming death soon
Birds with flaws are our demise
The ones that walk and cannot fly
Sweet blooms on strawberry vines
Created in laboratories and tainted wines
Killer bees infiltrate from state to state
Swarming under Queen bee’s command
So full of hate!
The Amazon will find its end
Scientists received notice...

SCHOOLED BY A SPARROW
BIRDS
I have a
bird feeder
on my balcony
that I continually
keep filled
with seed.
Today as I
watched my friend
come for the
seed he knows
will be there,
I thought how
simple life would be
if we humans would
trust each other and
share the blessings
we have.
Today I was once
again schooled by
a sparrow.
What lesson will
you let nature teach you
TODAY?

What is it about the moon
What is it about the moon that always appear in the night skies, through the process of the months that has us so hypnotize, by the glow of the aura shape and shine like a bright light, up in the sky. For sure what does it mean 🤔when you lose your own chains of thoughts, and insight into the deepness of the moon, glow of the truth that slowly, begins to draw our energy as well as our attention. For it even goes deeper than deep, into a different perspective on life. Yet for the wolf it's a change of the world 🌎 that comes, with an aura that has a stronger hold on the mind and...

Snapshot
First snowfall 2021
Window panes of glass
bend evening's light
transforming an espresso landscape
into snowflaked obsidian—
a phenocryst crystal, reflecting
a solitary soloist perched
on a shivering pin oak's limb
No bigger than my palm
its shrill organ penetrates
a Universe of soft silence
despite the absence
of light or warmth
'And I think to myself,
What a Wonderful World'

migratory miracle
1 of 30
it is it's own precious gift
the migration
eagerly witnessed by many
a soul healing vibration
the trill...the hum
an indescribable song
calming of thought
a delight simply to watch
as dance & courtships ensue
a momentary pause
before journey once more begins
& span of wings carry aloft
taking sacred song & moving on
& then the unexpected miracle
a rarity among the flock
a single singer unlike the rest
a special beauty
standing out
simply by being

Bird Nesting Poetry
In the heart of dawn, poets awaken.
Like mother birds in nests forsaken.
Words like worms tenderly taken
to feed their young, love unshaken.
Quills dipped in dew, they glide and soar
over landscapes of dreams, forevermore.
Each verse a morsel as hearts implore,
Nurturing souls by stories they store.
Under the vast canopy of sky...
Poets sing lullabies, every nigh,
to fledgling thoughts, dreams amplify.
Wings of words lift high.
With beaks of ink they gently share
wisdom and warmth beyond compare. ...

High Noon Noel
Clean the gutters
hang the lights
watch the flutters
in jaybird flights
squirrels and Yule nuts
by the frosty yard
wiggle wee furry butts
in stashing them so hard
and then the little tits
come and go so fast
it's hard to scan the plumage flits...
wherever they've amassed.

my zen garden
I go to my happy place, I go to my garden to center myself
steam rises off the trees after it rains
they are alive and sigh relief
to be washed clean of smog they can now breathe
the weeds on the lawn are wild flowers to me
bloom where planted as Pastor Murray would say
that's what I believe, but I don't like this technological era
I think we're moving to fast you see
the winds tell me to let it all out on exhale
while chimes quietly tinkle in the background
and the song birds tell me it's a new day
the sun is shining...

Are You Nice or Kind?
A single junco hopping carefree;
pecking stray seed in the snow.
The bird fully embraces the world it knows.
It's tiny heart thumps in gratitude;
for the wondrous discovery of food.
There is a difference between nice and kind;
you will hopefully someday find.
Being nice, you are pleasant and agreeable;
only to make yourself shine
in another's judgemental eye.
If you are kind, you have a deeper level of compassion
for a person's needy cry.
