An Unspoken Truth
Reflecting on the toxic relationship I was in earlier this year, there's a profound truth that I have learned. A truth that's unseen. Unspoken. The forbidden truth. The truth that inconveniences men who don't get a lot of women. It is this very truth that shakes me to my core. Fear. So much fear around it.

“Here it is Lyle,” Gary said handing him the picture. Lyle reached up from the hospital bed and

It will kill me...
I have never been wanted.
Not really.
Not in the way that stays when the night gets too quiet,
not in the way that doesn’t leave bruises,
not in the way that doesn’t make me question
if I was ever meant to be here at all.
I have been the almost, the mistake,
the afterthought in a crowded room.
Hands have reached for me,
