O Fiery Heart of a Poet
The fiery heart of the poet shines through ages, His furnace forged quietly and unseen in the dark, Finally his heart is inscribed with a name only heaven can read and angels know,
He is haunted by the "One" who walks in fire and lives in the shadows away from light,
He journeys through paths unknown, hidden and strange finding nourishment for his soul while enlightenment finds the mind.
He hears the voices of innocence singing in the distance, laughing like children in Eden's call, yet the shadows that follow him still fall,
for our innocence is...
He is haunted by the "One" who walks in fire and lives in the shadows away from light,

Burning dark clouds,
fallen embers burn through night sky,
I am Mastema, the Veiled One,
Concealed out of sight,
Echo's of rebellion prophesied with fate,
A darkened mirror for the proud,
the serpent-tongued lure,
Creeps within our essence,
Heart's ambition lies tangled.
Fire and fallen gods,
Call me Melek Taus,
A feathered figure,
Draped in midnights robes of a starless black sky,
A black hole in a negative space,
Fires of souls burning
flickering in the night,

epiphanies and throwing rocks
punish me for being
I was pretty once
then I still thought I was beautiful
and maybe I was, because my personality was or wasn't
my person shifts inside
slips in and out of focus and I lose time
forgetting who I am it's always been this way
coming and going these people all reflections of me
sexiness incarnate when my confidence is unshakeable
trembling in my shoes standing in the shadows
terribly mean perhaps even cruel with my words
honesty blushing she is most lovely to me
her melancholy smiles within me ...
