Paradise Lost
riotus laughter fills my thoughts
as the voices of mirth enter my mind
sometimes i laugh with them, others I don't
my feelings turn towards sorrow
I feel bad for them with all their bravado
they can't admit they're sad
in Paradise Lost Milton tells of Lucifer's fall
in front of the other angels he was brave
but when he is alone and thoughtful he feels bad
like he really fucked up
this makes me sorrowful because I know what is to fuck up
and regretting it later
he has no hopes of redeeming himself
my heart sinks...

weeps the dawn and the brotherhood of men
culted fascination between souls of the immortal realm
feigning loyalty, forgotten faith, stirs
rising up within me
stalwalt judgement and swayed truth
in sync with the alchemy of the moment
desire of the ancient way
one comes forth from the shadows
and I am beside myself with grief
hinder not the way with mischief
it is understood there is a chasm between us
our bond broken
a blood oath taken between brothers
lay waste over a woman

higher seeking higher
the highest of all heights
pressing with all my strength
getting past the barriers I soar
fighting when my demons get in the way
reaching the celestial
I enter the kingdom of my birth
petitioning my Father
God give me today
resisting the urge to flee
I am a warrior of the finest order
with weapons so very sharp
an intellect that cuts my enemies
a heart that will go through any obstacle to motivate
my Father recognizes me
He sees my plight and says I don't fight...

The Choirs of Heaven
From the highest reaches, where light burns eternal,
the Seraphim stand,
six wings aflame with God’s unending glory.
Their voices tremble the cosmos:
“Holy, holy, holy,” they cry,
infusing creation with love that cannot fade.
They are the breath of Heaven,
the fire that cleanses,
the pulse of divine perfection.
Beneath the blaze stand, the Cherubim on guard,
