tic toc the clock goes round
sometimes time pines for yesterday
when things were carefree and young
time went by slowly
with summer thoughts it would never end

fast forward I'm chasing time
I can't catch up
things are changing too quickly
it seems we are running toward something
do we know yet what that is?

within the doubt I ask
with an opportunity to hear
sincere with curiosity
made of stardust
