Poems about Acceptance
#acceptance
Poems about acceptance, coming to terms with difficult life events. Poems about accepting challenging past situations and getting closure emotionally.
Nothing
I told another caseworker I had yesterday that if I'm honest with myself...my favorite part of my day is when I know...I can do...nothing!
Not talking.
Not writing.
Not exercising.
Not cooking nor eating.
Not attempting to learn a new skill...
Nothing. Nothing at all.
Sitting up in bed watching the world go by or sleeping. The only way my mind truly feels at rest.
But thankfully, I feel at rest right now even though my mind still wants to criticize.
It wants to tell me everything I'm not doing...
Not talking.

She never listened to anybody
This was around the time I was 8 or 9 years old.
I was in the 3rd grade.
The teacher's aid always told her and the rest of us not to stand up on the swing.
She always did it anyway.
She never listened to anybody.
I heard she had a terrible upbringing.
She was beaten by her mother for being mischievous and defiant.
Her father would come home when he wanted to.
He was a traveling salesman.
Supposedly he had two mistresses, with families in Texas & Virginia.
I hated her guts because she always used to chase me home from school, pull my hair...

Live and Learn
The psyche is a lightning thing
and flesh burns like a tree
within the maelstrom where we sing
of sad mortality.
The soul is an experiment
like lab rats testing pain
and never mind the detriment
done to the heart and brain.
And in this hell we must make do
with less than what we want
spinning tribulation anew
as something like a jaunt...
where lessons learned along the way
are how the fears allay.

Eradicate the panic
Jack is a salesman. A man who knows his craft. He's cunning, shrewd and eager to make money. He's been in this line of work for over 25 years. Jack and his ex-wife had a daughter named Amber. He lost contact with Amber after the divorce, which is going on 20 years now. One of Jack's biggest fears is flying. Helicopter, Airplane, Jet, it doesn't matter. No flying! He's been on a jet once in his life. The one time was as a child (which is where the fear began). When his ex-wife divorced Jack, which was due to his neglect of his family, he decided to move to Los Angeles California. There Jack...

AI of the beholder
I told AI to make me hot
submitted a recent picture
...& it didn't
best it could do was enhance my cleavage
smoothing out my skin a little
hitting my blemishes with an eraser
plastic effect sculpting
don't get me wrong...
I appreciate the free facial
removing bruising under my eyes
night of the damned not being in fashion
I get that
but I actually loved my freckles
& the system saw fit to delete them
crazy
should I feel cheated
or take it as a win
if that's...

Man that I know
Theres a man
That I know
has the hardest time
Doing what he's told
Or listening to
what he knows
Can't seem to
Find A receipt
for the soul
that he sold
Theres a man
That i know
Cant catch a break
Hoping for a rainbow
Never catching sight
of that pile of gold
it's gonna take
To buy back his soul
Why wont he change,
Spread his wings and fly
fly up and away
Away from
all of his pain
Nothing
is all hes got to show ...

She's! So! Perky!!!
She has a weird body
Yeah, I looked
Yes, I'm judging (though I have no right to)
The designer got part of it right
She's slim and petite
Big boobs and big butt
But the boobs are high
and the butt is low
giving her figure (is that still a word?)
a wavy effect.
But it doesn't matter
because
she's!
super!
SUPER!
perky!!
READY TO YELL MS G???
She's talking about the staff rally (why, just why?)
my school district is having tomorrow.
I'll be...

Revelation
I've got a feeling in mind
Everything is alright
I might see falling skies
At least it'll rain for sometime
I've got a feeling in heart
That nothing is a fresh start
Past ain't ever that far
Nor the lessons we've learned
I feel it in my bones
This world can't be my home
It's just a fling that comes
wherever I may roam
I feel it in my soul
It might just be my time to go
But I really don't know
If I'll give up or say no
I feel it in my mind
Everything is alright

Blessings Ahead
He could tell
there had been a shift,
her attentions
captured in another direction
and he wasn't surprised
that lingering scent
penetrated more than a few
healthy minds
no doubt,
a few stood at attention
perhaps even shooting off
in adoration, privately
She had that kind of spell
that could make you swell
digesting those whispered lullabies
complete with explicit instruction
He grew a little hard thinking of it
- that private play,
dabbling in the illusions
of tasting and capture, ...

United Survivors
I’m growing into my glow.
You know, the won that dazzles, gleams, and “Sparkles”
When I was younger My mama taught me to play marbles.
As I gracefully marvel, at a vision of a transformed tomorrow.
What we call time, I say borrow.
Cleansing it all, healing through the sorrow.
As I listen it is eye
For who designed this brilliance to speed high this way.
A high wave that bonds us together. Turmoil is symbolic in generic weather.
Creating technology is numeric frequent sea.
That yew reflect in me.
Flow with me take breaths and create...

My Zone
Alone in my zone, a different realm, a different time zone. I myself and I so can call myself a iphone. Skin of my skin flesh of my flesh, bone of my bones. The world is mine therefore I roam, so I can call the world my home. I look at the sky as it falls on my dome, the earth can shake, but nothing in existence can shake my throne. I'm as dark as night. Even the sunlight magnifies my tone, I may have fallen like the leaves off trees, but just like the trees, I can stand on my own. I am who I am and nothing can change that. I was made not to break I was made for combat. Like Jesus died...

i am
i am a moth
for i am drawn to the light
she sends out,
cherishing her presence every time
i am the ocean,
for you can see it in my eyes
ever-flowing, ebbing and flooding
i have the power to drown you
and can lead you to beautiful destinies
depending on my mood
i am love,
for i adore people,
their passions and longings
i treasure my folks
i once was a caterpillar
for i always desire to change, to grow
needed the dark, being isolated
in order to become who i am today
