The Oil Field Man
I linger in sadness because it sharpens the moments that make me laugh,
like the blade’s edge reveals the beauty of the cut.
"Why is it," he asked, voice thick with whiskey,
"every time I sleep with a woman, I can't fill this void?"
His words hung heavy,
and I, tired of his endless lament,
took everything he ever told me—
his fears, his wounds, his pathetic confessions—
rolled them into something jagged and sharp,
a meatloaf of truth he wasn’t ready to swallow.
And I shoved it down his throat.
I left him there,...
like the blade’s edge reveals the beauty of the cut.
"Why is it," he asked, voice thick with whiskey,
"every time I sleep with a woman, I can't fill this void?"
His words hung heavy,

Frequencies
I sought you briefly, a fleeting beacon,
to confirm my steps, my chosen path.
Will I ever see you again? I truly don’t know.
Are we tuned to the same frequency,
or have you merely stumbled upon my station,
a ghost caught in the hum of static?
I dug up your skeletons,
just so I could drink tea with them,
to make sense of the echoes they leave behind.
You fear the dark, but I find solace
where shadows weave their quiet embrace.
It was a Friday night—
a moment of resolve,
when I vowed to no longer dance ...
to confirm my steps, my chosen path.

Defense Mechanism
I did it again, a defense I know too well,
The only way to make them run, to break the spell.
I show them the real definition of psychotic,
A heart wrapped in chaos, a love so toxic.
I pull him close, kiss him 'til he becomes unconscious,
A razzle-dazzle performance, his mind enslaved.
He’s intoxicated by my very air,
But just when he thinks love could be there,
I rip the rug out from under him and tell him to pack his shit and go.
Once, a man called me out, saw through my game,
I've never met someone who played crazy so well. ...

Normal
I tell my therapist, I want to be normal,
And she tilts her head, asking, What is normal?
He calls me weird, and I revel in it—
This uncanny essence, this near-supernatural grit.
There aren’t enough words to define my kind,
Let’s get lost in forbidden art, leave the mundane behind.
I’ll be the most bizarre thing you’ve ever known,
A flame to your moth, a chaos overthrown.
The girl who could sway you to do just about anything,
Only to leave you when the moonlight calls.
I don’t have to drink, I tell my therapist, ...

The Barefoot Girl
She's the barefoot girl.
That girl who hates high heels.
That girl on prescription drugs.
The girl who loses her balance on the runaway.
But walks firmly after she's fallen.
She's no Mariah Carey
yet she's darker than Avril Lavigne.
She's...Princess Alia.
The only pop star who doesn't wear makeup
and doesn't hypersexualize things
unless necessary.
The unseen, mature princess
like Esmeralda.
The last one.

What is the true purpose of
Me
From the day I opened my eyes
Into the unknowing world
The immediate world
Mom, Dad, and Me
Like a bud
Precious and new
Timid to push forth
On a planet that is skewed
With plans for me and you
I grow as I must
Ingest and trust information
To go on and survive
To stay here
To stay alive
Then, the brutality came.
Constant like unforgiving rain
In the form of laughter and judgment
Pain
This is just a season I must endure

A Witches Embrace
Religion was forged to keep us in chains,
A lie whispered soft to silence our flames.
They spoke of submission as God’s decree,
But some of us carry Lilith’s legacy.
Witches, we wield the primordial might,
A power unspoken, yet burning bright.
Do not ask how—I simply know,
This truth is etched in the marrow below.
It’s no man who belongs at the sacred stand,
But a woman commanding, her voice to expand:
"Take up your brooms, sisters, let the ritual flow,
With mudras of power, let the energies grow."

A Magician's Masterpiece
I have to remind myself at times, what I think isn't what I know, and what I know isn't what it seems....
What I perceive isn't reality, but a figment of a dream. The best illusionist I have ever seen, will always have to be the magician inside of me.
A habitual liar that I may be, constantly denying what it is I see.
Instead of accepting facts and reality, I'd rather embrace a vague fantasy.
Day by day and thought by thought, I paint pictures by blending colors from what I've got.

Shadows of Strength
Amidst agony, beauty breaks; calming distant echoes.
Faith grows, healing in joyful kindness; love mending deep, endless wounds.

The Roles I Played and Made
Upon taking my first breath when I came into this world
The mask I wore was a blank canvas of innocence
What transpired between then and now has been a whirl
A rollercoaster ride of both harmony and dissonance
I’ve been a liar
Stabbed and fired
I walked barefoot over the pyre just to get my point across
Then it was moot and dire
But I grew tired
Of mourning over things I couldn’t control and counted as a loss
Over the years I’ve been through plenty of mischief and mayhem
But the facades I wore became the faces to different...

raining
An eyelash in my mouth
Good luck according to the Chinese
I press the hair from my finger to yours
A peaceful transfer of power
I cling to an ideal
A promise broken and mended
I feel dejected
The rain comes down like snow
The darkness is an invitation
To a party for one
Order number 42
My mom says I eat out too much
But why cook for myself alone?
At least you understand me.

Anonymous Energy
I was formed from a seed of desperation.
Written and scarred upon my skin, upon my temperament.
Upon my disposition.
I wear it like a crown for all to see.
Look upon my face and recognise me.
The face of nothing.
The face of no one.
Unseen.
The face of many generations of many entities.
None belong to me.
Borrowed atoms, borrowed genes.
Just light anonymous energy.
Don't you see? The parade?
Quickly!
Don, your hat! Your Gloves! Your Hair!
Your Identity.
Unseen.
