i'm a plant
as much as they jostle and elbow
to synthesize, they seed to survive
their own longevity and call out
to STEM the little ones
in an involuntary chain against
loneliness.
saplings, saplings- rise above
the sword ferns, they won’t hurt you.
clown fish, your mutual need
if only there is a job position
to monetize the sitting of a watched
growth. my friends are behind the trunks
that are moved of possessions,
baggage filled with mini-idols
and porcelain...

Unanswered
The clock strikes midnight and I recall,
When I said I wouldn’t fall,
Every time I see your name,
I can’t help it but think.
If we could change reality,
Would this fling be a thing?
Two can play that game,
At the end one will come short.
The time we spent together,
I wouldn’t trade that for a pot of gold,
You smile at my jokes and so do I too,
Why did life play a trick on us?
Maybe we were too slow,
Distance is a shortcoming, surely it would not have...
When I said I wouldn’t fall,
Every time I see your name,
I can’t help it but think.
If we could change reality,
Would this fling be a thing?

The time we spent together,

Seize The Opportunity
There may come a time a golden opportunity will come around
And you'll have to shut off the voices that surround
Heed not to the fears that whisper in your ear
That golden opportunity may be the one to wipe away your tear.
You may have to bend and break some rules,
Hear the scorns of those who will say you're a fool.
You may have to break out of your circle and forget all that you were taught
To obtain that which you so badly sought.
You may have to endure the rising wars within and around you
But letting go of the gold you'll regret...

Speaking In Tongues
A crow came to cackle and I ignored what he had to say
Two more came and I quickly turned the other way
Time passed ... worlds and minds changed ... stars aligned
Now 30 more were alit at my door begging I heed their signs
Is the spell ending?
Or another beginning?
I feel weak and used
Too tired for thinking
To cast my dice carelessly in open air?
To lay my head down upon your soft breast?
To find peace in the scent of your silken hair?
To find my heart beating once more in my aching chest?

A kind word never fed a hungry belly
silence has always been the better
friend, a closed mouth speaks
volumes, and a sociopath knows
how to eat unspoken words
I can break you with a glance
as I feed on your insecurities
driving you insane with every
word I do not speak, just feel
my disapproval and crumble
