A Moment Please ...
Finding the way past that lump in your throat
Can feel like the hardest thing you ever did
Finding the way past your own boundaries
Can scare you into paralyzing stillness
The world stops
The stars stop shining
The air gets too thick
Your absentmindedly smiling
Caught in that moment
Before reaction
Suspended inaction
Before it ever happened
Sitting comfortably there
With your cup of coffee
And Nicotine
Glancing through your memories
Breathe deeply
Take that moment,...
Can feel like the hardest thing you ever did
Finding the way past your own boundaries
Can scare you into paralyzing stillness
The world stops
The stars stop shining
The air gets too thick
Your absentmindedly smiling
Caught in that moment
Before reaction
Suspended inaction

Never Surrender
Sometimes we think of life in concrete terms
When maybe it's only that just out of reach nest of dreams
We're destined to chase and reach for pulling us through
Until we just stop ... all a ploy to keep us moving until we can't
Or not ...

Another one?
Aethereal cognizance
Widens the view
Of tear stained
Happenstance
Pelting my pillow
And my heart
In equal measure
Time to make a new start

Decay
The tempo slows
The hands run stiller
Filling days with nothing
Only putrescent filler
Prime past long ago
Disease runs rampant
Body attacking body
Pain the only companion
The mind slips also
Slower and slower still
Cell by cell evaporating
Like iron rusted will
Flakes of copper
Drops of silver
Lakes of platinum
Emptying like a polluted river
The hands run stiller
Filling days with nothing
Only putrescent filler

The Spring Must Have Unwound A While Back
I follow the light your light switched off
I walk the path your path to empty home
I follow the bread crumbs your crumbs turned stone
I arrive at our destination beleaguered bothered and alone
Bended reality twisted out of proportion
Left water spilling on the kitchen floor
Seeping into my moldy old dreams
Though always wanting that little bit more
Lights cascade from nowhere
Leading to and from everywhere
Sounds wash over me aethereal
Vibrating the ground but you weren't there
Two graves dug one filled...

Sagittate
The lone leaf is crisp
the dead leaf has fallen
on the ground
without a sound
Autumn always remains
relentless
with its chilling breeze
defeating all the trees
One leaf at a time
coloring it bold
coloring it bright
before the dead of night
Despite all its points
its sharp edges
the perennial battle is won
before it has begun
Leaving this symbol
this solitary reminder
how the arrival of fall
awaits us all

The freshly cut grass is aglow
with a vibrant verdant show
glistening with silver dew
listening once more anew
While summer slowly retreats
another season now completes
its three month perennial run
with the waning of September sun
For it is always at this time of year
that I feel deep truths coming near
a promise of true revelation
in the form of poetic consecration
As if all I am meant to know
will somehow finally show
itself to me
so that again I might then see
A wisdom beyond the...

Coolness
The wind is defiant today
not blowing the same way
seemingly laden
with a shrill chill
Laced in the September air
coming from everywhere
ushering in this brief
hesitation...
As summer retreats
the new morning greets
with a chilly warning
a clear cautionary whisper
For the seasons will change
as bold autumn will rise
though no real surprise
in this seasonal circle
Seeming without end
as the times now blend
reminding us all
the plumed ascension of fall
not blowing the same way
seemingly laden
with a shrill chill
Laced in the September air
coming from everywhere

Not dead yet
Education,
Has gone through,
Metamorphoses,
And the educated has evolved,
Men used to open doors,
Bring roses on birthdays,
And a card saying " i love you baby"
Even though sometimes,
You might find a jealous mama, ofcourse is her only son you are trying to steal.... ......Hilarious.
I still believe that chivalry is not dead just hidden,
I mean i could too open doors,
Bring chocolate cakes and a baseball cap, and together we can watch a game of NFL on Sundays, as long as my reward is a touch down at nightfall,
Does not...

Debris
The pasture is strewn
with brown leaves blown
huddled in groups
beneath the baring trees
Each unwilling to render
any form of surrender
give up
to the march of seasons
With so many reasons
to remain
to abstain
from any such debate
While we all wait
for that first single flake
to finally make
its fluttering appearance
Nature to give Her clearance
for the arrival of winter
as my thoughts do splinter
like cracks in a foreboding ice
with brown leaves blown
huddled in groups
beneath the baring trees
Each unwilling to render
any form of surrender
give up
to the march of seasons

Drone
The night is half empty
below the waves grind
pound the moment
into a dark submission
Relentless is its rhythm
is its truth
speaking in tongues
older than life itself
But not proving answers
only posing questions
more than mere suggestions
of how to look inside
For nothing is truer than the tide
with its lunar regularity
its gravitas granularity
weighty in words and deeds
As my nature concedes
I return again to myself
return the book to its shelf
having read the lesson
below the waves grind
pound the moment
into a dark submission
Relentless is its rhythm
is its truth
speaking in tongues
older than life itself
But not proving answers
