That's Life
If life is supposed to be
A little bit nuts
Then I've had more
Than my share
Of crazy
And if love is meant
To turn out right
Once in a while
I'm way more experienced
At dealing with
A broken heart
I never discount
the countless good times though
Because that's what makes
Life worth the living
A little bit nuts
Then I've had more
Than my share

And if love is meant
To turn out right

Corvus
Struck by the gloss of the ebony plumage
of the raven in starlight.
His eyes an oily mystery
of the perpetual return of night.
Fascinated by his burrowing stare
at the gnarled knot in the tree.
That furnished a nest of naive robin's eggs.
Under inevitable seize.
Meaningful change has an approaching leg,
the wicked raven confides.
A need to explore the shadows
that dwell inside.
I've made companions of
the midnight hours.
In keeping with the natural order,
the pale blue eggs are greedily devoured.

OLD FOLKS LOVE TOO
TRUTH
As I sat on a barstool
beside me was a mature
lady, with beautiful white hair,
dressed in the latest style
and very articulate in
conversing on any subject;
beautiful and charming.
Out of the blue, she asked,
"Do you think we older people,
I'll be 70 my next brthday,
ever have desires for romantic encounters?"
I was very coy and replied, "I think
you're the one who can answer that."
With a smile and a touch on my leg
she indeed gave her reply:

the beauty of life
a lone dandelion dances on the breeze
saddened by life I look to her in her natural state
nature never stops with its celebration of life
it is ever diligent with its truth
I watch the birds of the air kiss the sky
I long to be that innocent
an honest creature of hope
if they are saddened by the world as it is today
they never complain
no storm or earthly trouble keeps them from their duty
like clockwork with their diligent pursuit of life
I awaken to bird chatter and song

At Death’s Door
i am choked by the twisting vines of melancholia
hypnotizing petrichor fills my tarred lungs
i miss meandering meadows in mystical lands
and being mesmerized with each magical leaf
the last petal of an
enchanted flower falls;
an incantation…
i have lost my map to the forbidden knowledge
spellbound by the curse of a creature’s wrath
i am tortured by malignant tumors in my chest
the last shimmers of poison escaping my lips
i am aware of mother nature’s
decisive sorcery;
all things end…

Collage #2 - Outsider Looking In
I was always on the outside
Looking in
Wasn’t much I wanted in there
Loner type
Like the song by Bob Dylan
Off the album BLONDE ON BLONDE
“Just Like a Woman”
The line … ‘I can’t fit”
So Art called
I jumped in
Many years later I remain
A movement for outside artists
Platform to stand tall
Malcontents, nonconformists, freaks
It’s like your warm embrace
Finally… I fit

For The Living
Vigil and Visitation
If you think of me at all, remember me fondly. Look upon our time together in cherished snippets that will bring you joy and peace. Hail Mary, full of grace…
Funeral Liturgy
Life has not ended my love.
I’m with you everyday in every action. Weep not for me, but carry forward the love we shared. We will see each other once again.
Our Father, who art in heaven…
Committal
In final farewell, know I am laid to rest in divine comfort. Wrapped in a love pure and eternal. Go in peace to live your lives in joy.
Glory be...

autumn frenzy
autumn is a going-out-with-a-bang kind of season
crisp & gloriously vibrant
fireworks in the trees
as the leaves burn out in spectacular fashion
before drifting slowly downward
casually...in no big hurry
to litter the streets
kicked & blown into gutters
where they'll still be seen
or gathered into multicolor piles
as children & young at heart
throw themselves with wild abandon
into their crinkly embrace
laughter & smoke fire from chimneys
mingling upon the breeze
nature's party clutter

remembering back
i watched
that sunday,
i watched
her being
undressed,
there was
no objections
whatsoever
from her
this time,
she had
no choice
of it
happening,
and soon
she lay
in front
of me,
i saw
her breast
upward,
her legs
straight,
i would
be taking
her into
my mouth,
but i
had to
show patience
until she
was roasted
for dinner.

Without a mask
Drifting away in the depths of my mind,
Lost amidst the shifting sands of time,
I gather fragments of information,
Radiant before my bewildered eyes.
The words spoken hold little meaning,
Actions unfolding, a puzzle unsolved,
I wander aimlessly, endlessly,
A clown in this theater of dreams.
Uncertain of my role, my purpose,
Striving to grasp the elusive truth,
I navigate the labyrinth of existence,
The heart's tug of war, an endless pursuit.
Lost like a diamond amid scattered stones,

Throwback of a Creative Past II
Glass to glass, a cheer to life (Collaboration: Souladareatease and Grace)
Dawn's sun rays glitters gold
Glimmers of gossamer dream dusts
On green drooping blades of grass
Hang on tips, collected dew drops
collected from silent sorrow tears
Reflections of your smile
these sing dawns arrival
they die of old, re-birthing tomorrows
develop and flower
style pistil petal
returning spring of Persephone
Dance in the meadow
Meadows of heaven
Spirit of Soul's fantasia
there, love lust-less recline ...
