Endlessly (2025)
everyday is just the same
or so it seems to be
sometimes sunshine, sometimes rain
sometimes endlessly
repeating actions and too thought
repeating what is said
somnambulating as if caught
being out of bed -
every day is just the same
as well as every night
sometimes moonlight after rain
is an inspiring sight
we're moving through what's inbetween
atomic nuclei
and electrons as they stream
through the endless sky-
every day is just the same
as every day before
Moon keeps waxing to...

Leaf Cadavers
The driving miniscule flakes of snow.
Confim the world is a shaken globe.
Dark brown leaf cadavers can still be seen.
Crumbled in death poking through the newborn powder.
The haunted silence is even louder.
Life touching death, unusually serene.
Ghosts of autumn yearn for snowy winter
For a short while, the white world is void of the sinister.
The wind inhales a frozen breath.
A frigid cold whisper upon my neck.
Exhalations of steam, blow at the iced vanilla trees.
Bird population take haven in the branches.

Time
She’s an elusive mistress
You can never find her
She runs away from you so very fast
leaving you looking ahead only to find you wish you could go back
Pain and joy intertwined like silk threads
Flittering and flashing randomly
You’re left wanting more
She’ll never give it to you
Your dance with her is brief
Savour it.

The Vanishing
As we age:
A day seens like an hour.
A week like a day.
A year like a month.
A decade like a year.
It goes that fast
Why bother to fear.
The certainty is
We all disappear.
It starts around 40
The Vanishing
Hair goes.
Hearing goes.
Sight goes.
Muscle tone goes.
Flexibility goes.
Memory goes ( but not fast enough)
Go to a nightclub and see how transparent you've become.
Still
I've seen a sunrise
Tasted a pancake
Slept in a cosy bed
Suffered physical and mental...

Tears Of A Snow Drop
The nimbostratus was unprepared
The snow it carried
Hadn't quite yet frozen fully
The snowflakes
Were getting restless
And started shuffling around
Within the cloud
Desperate to escape
So much so
One solitary snowflake
Was pushed out of the cloud
And began to slowly drift
Towards the frozen earth far below
About half way down
The sun
Shimmered, and danced
Through the heavy dark clouds
Directly onto the snowflake
Melted
And then became an icy teardrop
Falling eventually, into...

Fragile Existence
life is paper thin
a little tear
changes everything
a little tear

lost cause
that tree
standing
off by
itself,
dying alone,
lonely,
no passion
left to
keep it
alive,
no tender
touch
to remind
it to
breathe.

Never Trust The Giants
I was strangled at birth
Luckily
A woman released me
From the stranglehold
From the very threads of life
That had kept me alive
For nine glorious months
Within my womb with a view
Full board, and lodging
Live-in-all-found
All for free!
It was great
Until the day of eviction
Not only was i forcibly ejected
But i was almost strangled
As i left my demi paradise
That lay within a deep cave
Within a dark forest
So this is why i screamed
Not because of the woman
That was dragging me out
But...

Detritus
a leaf
falls to the ground
dancing silently through the air
before landing on the bodies
of its dying and decaying family
it does not weep
nor even knows
if and when it
ever was alive

before landing on the bodies

Before It's Too Late
Before her lungs, utter their last....
Before the end's rugged shadow, too near, is cast.
Before long life's, abated, only too fast.
Before my dearest, love sick quote
Before reality levees it's antidote
Before death's once, & all deciding vote
Before times unwavering slumber
Before the weights of measure, all of me, encumber
Before assured fate rallies my number
Before the blessed ease, awaits
Before the illicit graze of fate
Before certainty is too late
Before the end's rugged shadow, too near, is cast.
Before long life's, abated, only too fast.

A Journey under Moonlight
I didn't know his name, I still don't
but I chased him through incarnations
beneath the moon's soft and silvery glow
I journeyed from a child to a woman
a solitary figure travelling steady and slow
preferring the night cos the timeless space
placed me under its velvet embrace
the shadows dim against the grey
a wanderer's heart beats with the impossible
the perfection of twilight sculptured
in the dappled shadows of symmetrical trees
yet missing that name that beckoned
like twinkles of shared dreams...
