They tell me in my wake:
They tell me in my wake: "You and the world you live in are just grains of sand on the endless shore of the endless sea." In my dream I tell them: "I am the boundless sea and all the worlds are just grains of sand on my shore."
We flee, wandering, the longing of creatures at sea for thousands of years until the wind in the woods guides us back to our words. And now we express our tomorrows using all of yesterdays' voices.
I once filled my hand with rage. Then I opened it. There was nothing there but sand. And I...

A Lover’s Call ( after Kahlil Gibran )
But the spirit remains joined safely in the hands of
Love, until death arrives and takes joined souls to God.”
Conjoined by an eternal world
beyond the ethereal veil
through human birth;
Love doesn't discover anyone
within boned sinew; it's innate
calling many, choosing few—
those ready for the threshing floor;
it's blanket affirmation
activates when kindred are close

Where are the poems I've yet to write
the ones in ether between the worlds?
look to the sky to find their source
in nature's grasp the words will show
I'll walk to woods to find the spark

when you’re inspired by nature’s breadth.
The paths below the trees are broad
passage shorn by human kind
by cut of blade and stamp of feet
made to ease the travels there
though it seems the moment blinks
waiting for the men to leave
before the tracks...

For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?~Kahlil Gibran
lilies are a mask
the light fractures off objects
brighter than scars and empty crystal.
gritty visions, skipping frames
finally, everything seems real
your hair of a thousand browns
tangled and splayed across the sterile white sofa
I find that place on your chest
where my head fits just right
and I can smell death on your neck
your cold hands slide into mine
thin pink venom sneaking through your veins
a kiss for your last breath
