The Cracked Glass
You are so sweet and happy
Then I came along
Your smile falters
Your eyes dart for help
Why fear me?
You are as perfect as crystal glass
Nothing to hide
If there is a smudge
The world will know
Why fear me?
I moved closer
The sweat of reality appears
The only person to see
Not through, but at
You are a reformed glass
Minute cracks at the seam
For I see what others overlook
There is where fear lies
Then I came along
Your smile falters
Your eyes dart for help
Why fear me?
You are as perfect as crystal glass
Nothing to hide
If there is a smudge
The world will know
Why fear me?
I moved closer

The only person to see

She Ain’t Broken (brokentitanium)
Her poetry
A tender heart
Wrapped in bad ass
Did you know this woman can sing?
Her voice is powerful
She eases herself into your soul
Brings you home
To the place you want to be
Discovering
You
I can see her
Laying in her hammock
Penning her poetry, her songs
Bringing us along
Life and healing aren’t always easy
But she makes it relatable
So you don’t feel so alone
Thank you, k

ACROSTIC - LABIA
Lower lips,
Artfully aroused,
Blood-infused, burn
Intensely in
Anticipation!

Flash
Compressed narration
Words at haste
In a race
The next word chased
Is it such an immoral sin
My story is so wafer thin
What should I write?
A thriller, horror, something gory
A hero, good guy, steeped in glory
Something sinister, dark and black
Where the victim gets attacked
Something grand, pen in hand
A sentence short, not widely spanned
So there you have my short flash fiction
It's constricted, restricted, word eviction
A paragraph struggle, feuding friction

Good ole Elitist Anacreon
Vers libre, or nay.
Is not the cynosure of a poet
that they are as finnicky
of what they read,
as the sommelier of what they drink,
or the lover of who they love?

The Thrill of Art and Vision
Cardboard
Got a number 5
All it needs is original art
A box head or 2
Minimalistic
Just enough for a laugh
Bukowski might give a nod
Drink a few beers
Tease the art world
When I stopped trying to sell paintings
Relevance spun a tale of glory
Me
Myself
Artist
Finally made it
No deposit
No return
Free at last …

there are more poets around here than
buses
are laid on to drive 'em out ..

intermediate hours
these
intermediate
hours
look back
at me,
i burrow
myself into
early
thoughts,
wanting to
get them
placed
before
my eyelids
flutter and
surrender
to this
long length
of hour's
movements.

yo! Americana
poems rush
out--
careless
word
children
playing
on the
streets--
trying not to get
crushed under
the squeeling
tires of night

Virgo
Virgo is my sign with which I deeply align
I thrive as I help and serve, driven by passion and verve
Religious in heart mystic in mind, a soul wholly unconfined
Gifted by the healing power of Love and the sensibility of dove
Of a sense of worth, an affinity with mother earth, that’s my sign birth.

When Ink Is Thicker Than Blood
'A fantasy Poem''
All those waters are never enough for me
My heart conceals the biggest mysteryS
Sharing it with my own self's intimacy
Which is the very inkwell of my poetry
So, let me delight in my inky hideaway
It is there where i've ever yearned to stay
Far from human eye, from any heart that chimes
From any sentiment, that may alter my rhymes
A am a metrical cadence, a foot with Mood
I take this form, flexible like bamboo wood
No rule...

It’s not where you’re from, it’s where you’re at
We drive through flats
that are more grime
than home
it’s where we’re at—
at the supermarket
where yellow stickers
dishonour good food
in a way it doesn’t deserve.
There were two food banks
on the way
but it’s exactly
where we’re at
filling a trolley to a tenth
of its capacity until
a stomach reminds
a human how little
the body needs
to survive
.
.
.
I struck gold today.
