Kiss Me Darling, It's Christmas
There's a yuletide log on the fire
A mug of spiced eggnog in my hand
The tree has a thousand ornaments
One with a bright golden band
It has the date that the two of us got married
The date when our true lives began
There's mistletoe hanging in the archway
And I'll get you under it when I can
Chorus::
Kiss me darling, it's Christmas
Your all I want for the holidays
Doesn't matter if my presents are empty boxes
As long as I'm holding you always
Kiss me darling, it's Christmas
It doesn't matter where we are
You're...

Everyone Loves a Parade
There are memories
time cannot alter—
the smell of burning leaves in Autumn
the wonder of snow and meteor showers
the northern star on a new Moon eve
the power of poetry
to breach time and age
and candied apples
at a Christmas parade

Merry Christmas, Mom - Part IX
What I'm saying about you isn't hard for others to understand.
You were my mother and until March of 2013, I was a lucky man.
But you died on March the 6th of 2013 and I ran out of luck.
When I had to say goodbye, it felt like lightning had struck.
You and I spent our Christmases together for over forty years.
But we'd never share another Christmas and losing you drove me to tears.
You were so special that they probably threw a party when you arrived at the Pearly Gates.
I know that The Lord is happy to have you in Heaven but your death is something...

Cold Turkey
I once
About thirty years ago
Spent one week
Sometime in December
Plucking turkeys
These turkeys Were first
Hung upside down By their feet
They then had their throats cut
And a plastic bag
Put over their heads, and neck
To collect the blood
And whilst they were in
Their final death throes Of life
The turkey pluckers Take over
As the feathers Pluck easier
From warm bodies
The whole process
Seemed grotesque
And brutal
And for a brief moment
In my life
I was part of this ...

Perfect gift
Perfect gift
Well it's nearly Christmas I've got my letter for Santa written, I've been quite a good poet this year and there's only one gift by which I'm smitten
I hope Santa thinks I'm deserving, I hope to find it underneath my Christmas tree, wrapped in lace and a pretty tag, saying it's a gift for me
For there's just one thing I want, I'd say it's a aching need, so please, oh please dear Santa don't make me beg and plead
Let me get the special gift, please bring it in your sack, let Rudoloh guide you to my door, I'm sure he's right on track ...

Christmas Crime (Or That Time My Old Man Straight Murdered My Mom Over Some Bullshit)
Twas a dark and sad December
When my mother was dismembered
By our father, for some unkind words she said
It was snowing, I remember
Mistletoe and chimney embers
And the hollow eyes from mommy’s severed head
He lit his pipe after a while
And laid his back upon the tiles
Of our bathroom with a belt around his arm
Then he nodded off and smiled
And we gathered single file
To watch as daddy dearest bought the farm
The police gave us some chocolates
Which melted in our pockets
And they shipped us off to live in...

My Sega Genesis
My parents gave me some money for Christmas and I bought a Sega Genesis thirty years ago tonight. I bought it on October 3, 1991 at KB Toys. It was an early Christmas Present.
Early in 1991, I thought that the original NES was excellent. But when I saw my friend playing his Genesis, I was amazed because it was better than the NES.
I had decided to get the Genesis but when I heard about the SNES, I was strongly thinking about getting it instead. But I soon learned that the SNES cost $199. I didn't have enough money so I got the Genesis. The Genesis only cost $149.

Christmas Fun
Eureka! it's Christmas time again!
A time to reminisce about seasons past
of pizzas hot, cup cakes, icing coated snacks,
home-made lemonade, champagne and Santa's sacks
of choicest toys, newly produced and recast.
Eureka! laughter pervades the plain!
for dazzling lights of astonishing colours
exhibit rare heavenly multicolours
for the yuletide's ambience of pomp and pageantry
in every country tropical and wintry.
Eureka! it's Santa's express train!
A very pleasant holiday time indeed.
When a dream becomes wonderland for a kid ...

End of the world
End of the world
I looked out the window
and saw it coming.
The thought occurred to me-
to go run and hide in
the basement.
I walked outside
into the street and
looked up at
the sky.
I looked out the window
and saw it coming.
The thought occurred to me-
to go run and hide in
the basement.
I walked outside
into the street and
looked up at
