Alive (tribute to My Chemical Romance)

this one's a bit sketchy, I'm sorry. just felt like making it... since I've never done any art or poetry on MCR, I feel I should just make this one last tribute poem.

Marching down the alleyways
the sons of rebellion
hold their heads up
high in the air
raising their flag
once more
to pierce the sky

Colors follow
where they set foot
words
redundant
for music speaks out
their souls
and countless others'

Pseudonymous and masked
screaming out the truth
to themselves
to the world
to whoever willing to listen

twelve-year adventure
goin' round the globe
from making noise
in the garage
to headlining worldwide

By the day, by the minute
by each damn second that passes
one soul hears
one soul inspired
one soul healed
by music-wielding warriors

They say everyone wants
to change the world, but no-one
wants to try
wants to die
But who keeps the faith
will keep believing

days of bleach and hair dye
finally washing out
gradually abrupt
shattered neatly
in a pool of blood and tears

the building torn down
but the shadow remains
like a mirage
a ghost
a reflection of what
was never actually gone

I never quite existed
but they did and that's
what matters now
it's not over
it's never over
'cause My Chemical Romance is an idea

Marching under the streetlights
the sons of Love and Rock n' Roll
hold their hearts up
for the world to hear
raising their flag
once more
to pierce the sky
to refuse goodbye
to be done but not dead
to be alive
