Slipping
Slipping under,
Rolling thunder,
Slipping closer,
Rolling over.
Falling into the hole and its darkness,
Held so far away from the light.
Falling into the hands of the heartless,
Held so incredibly tight by the night.
Hold my hand, baby,
But only for a second.
Hold my hand baby,
But know how it will end.
This death beyond all death
Will consume you next.
This dying breath
Will bring you in next.
Innocently I was dragged down,
Because of course we all must go.
Innocently I brought you down,
Because I didn't want to die alone.
There I was, slipping, falling, dying.
But now we both shall die.
There you were, so alone, crying,
But now we slip together into the night.
Rolling thunder,
Slipping closer,
Rolling over.
Falling into the hole and its darkness,
Held so far away from the light.
Falling into the hands of the heartless,
Held so incredibly tight by the night.
Hold my hand, baby,
But only for a second.
Hold my hand baby,
But know how it will end.
This death beyond all death
Will consume you next.
This dying breath
Will bring you in next.
Innocently I was dragged down,
Because of course we all must go.
Innocently I brought you down,
Because I didn't want to die alone.
There I was, slipping, falling, dying.
But now we both shall die.
There you were, so alone, crying,
But now we slip together into the night.
