Storm

I'm sown and forlorn
I've seen what's been all along
This ocean of fear, the worst of me
Been retreading sunken sand

I'm tired of being abused
This infrastructure is rotting through
Losing sleep with a restless world
I'm old and not so wise

And I retreat another night
And I need time to reset the bone
While I find meaning in holding on

This frown is making his home
With a downcast sky right outside
I've been standing on hollow ground
Barely living on the ocean floor

And I retreat another night
And I need time to reset the bone
While I find meaning in holding on

My home, anywhere but here
Because my doubts are falling apart
I saw healing with a broken heart
Not forgotten is like my purpose

And I retreat another night
And I need time to reset the bone
While I find meaning in holding on

Yeah, I'll be holding on
