The Magical Birthday Wishes

The question was simple...
Do you know what I want for my birthday?
The answer was as complex as what was requested,
For the obvious is not what is seen.

I had chosen three possible wishes,
That only you could grant, but knowing I would not receive,
Too precious to you they are,
Unworthy am I to accept.

The first one is very revealing,
Not for what is seen,
But for what is chosen by you to expose,
It is a picture of you.

The second one is joy,
For when you dance,
It is but for one person,
And to grant that, would be to give yourself away.

The third, ah, the most complex of all,
Not because of what it is,
But for what it starts,
The Long Soft Kiss.

The wishes were met with laughter,
And a little embarrassment,
For they were wishes that should not be made,
For they were wishes that could not be honoured.

But these are Magical Wishes,
That only come true,
If granted without prejudice,
So it is my promise to you,
That they will not be requested again.
