That Kid
I don't want to be "That kid".
The one without a mummy,
Or a daddy,
Who has the ability,
Who has the brains,
But lacks motivation,
Lacks concentration,
Lacks social skills.
"That kid",
Who everyone whispers about,
Because nobody knows her,
Her troubles,
Her fears,
Her scars,
Her life.
I don't want to be "that kid",
Who doesn't believe,
In her family,
In her friends,
In herself.
Too bad I am.

Aww... sounds like someone could use a cyberhug... on second thought, maybe you'd get more out of a real hug. Regardless, as is always true with your pieces, it is something I can personally relate to.

If you ever get back online, and you see this, know that I still read this poem pretty often. I've read it twice just this week, because I honestly think it's that good.
