True Intent

some people just can't hide  
saying things that shakes our insides  
the earth shattering impact  
of words offensive and harsh  
some have lost the art of tact  
   
the intent behind the words  
is no surprise  
because real eyes recognize real lies  
& real truths recognize real roots  
   
for if your intent was to do me good  
then your actions and words could never be misunderstood  
and if your intent is to do me harm  
then shouldn't I have great cause for alarm  
   
our intent always come through  
whether we sugarcoat our words to sound syrupy sweet  
or spit out words as sharp as a blade that cuts through wheat  
the feelings in our heart through our mouth they depart  
   
I want you to always be honest    
and never ignore what you want to create  
whether its words that brings forth love  
or words that manifest hate  
   
for I never get bent  
once I understand the reason of the true intent.
