Storms by the sea
How come all the storms by the sea
Had become you and me
Does it matter anyway?
If you called I would fall to my knees
We’d become human beings
‘Cos I loved you, and your ways
We have clinged as we tried to let go
All those things we’ll never know
They don’t matter anymore
How come all the storms by the sea had become you and me?
It don’t matter what I say
You don’t listen anyway
I still miss your pretty face
Do you lie right through your teeth?
How come all the storms by the sea had become you and me?
Does it matter?
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Do we long for what can no longer be?
Do we share the same disease?
I still love you
And of course all the fault lies with me
All these tears of such deceit
Give me one more time baby
How we cling when we try to let go
All those things we’ll never know
They don’t matter
How come all the storms by the sea had become you and me?
I’m so crazy, I’m insane
You’ve been making me this way
It’s so sad, it’s such a shame
I’m so used to all the blame
How come all the storms by the sea had become you and me?
Does it matter?
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I’m so crazy, I’m insane
I’ve been making me this way
It’s so sad, it’s such a shame
I got good avoiding blame
I don’ matter what you say
I don’t listen anyway
I still miss your pretty face
And I cherished every day
How come all the storms by the sea had become you and me?
Does it matter?
Had become you and me
Does it matter anyway?
If you called I would fall to my knees
