La Primavera (Here Carlos)
Spring is here
though it can't be told
by the weather here in the northwest
yet it also is a state of mind
for what is stirred is also a certain zest
the ardor of animal instincts
to find a warm mate
over reckless that urge can become
ask Menelaus and Paris about that desire
how their kingdoms came undone
flowers collecting life giving rain
after being dormant during winter's hand
young geldings and fawns take a first stand
even a love that has turned cold
can be reheated and sparkle bold
we can even notice the beauty in others
the couple in the rain hand in hand
even a two on the dance floor
body movements tell us what they have planned
so rejoice in the growth be positive in tone
keeping in mind the time restraint on us all
and that bliss is journey of one
for that trip isn't about who you can call
but the right place and some of the sound reasons
might be in that one who can simply enjoy Spring's season
though it can't be told
by the weather here in the northwest
yet it also is a state of mind
for what is stirred is also a certain zest
the ardor of animal instincts
to find a warm mate
over reckless that urge can become
ask Menelaus and Paris about that desire
how their kingdoms came undone
flowers collecting life giving rain
after being dormant during winter's hand
young geldings and fawns take a first stand
