A Lone But Bon Voyage

Upon a sea like silence,
I sail a lone voyage,
Party of one,
Cabin with a king bed,
But to look around youd be lost,
For there are no other passengers,
There is naught but myself and the stars,
To look to the stars is love,
To call upon them is passion,
And even more to hold one is to have a dream come true.

I remember the beginning of this adventure,
It seems so long ago and yet still like only yesterday,
When I first beheld an angel with my eyes,
At once I thought life had escaped me,
For how else could you see an angel,
I snapped to my senses,
And oh not a moment too soon,
Had it been even a breath later,
I surely would have missed her.

From her cheeky grin,
You'd think her name is naughty,
Her charm soft and yet seductive,
Be still my beating heart,
I wonder if this be what cupids call love?

No sleep can I get,
For my eyes don't want to close,
Nor a meal kept down,
For my soul and all within me is aflutter,
At this magnificent beauty I have found.

My thoughts are no longer mine,
Even my will has gone and jumped ship,
What an inopportune time,
For all I can think or focus is on her,
Every moment of every day,
I have one wish and wish nothing more,
Than to be with my sweet angel,
In each and every way.

Inside a treasure chest well locked,
Lay the most expensive of all gifts,
But yet these precious things cannot be purchased,
Only by free will given can they be,
For inside that chest are the heart and happiness of me.

You need not bury it,
Nor do you need to hide it,
Just keep it at all times,
Right next to yours,
For thats where lay true belonging,
And the joining of us two.

So yes I may be sailing a lone voyage,
Yet still very much a bon voyage,
For on this journey,
And all others that follow,
I have no reason to be blue,
Because upon my heart I know,
That I always have you!!
