The Exodus Of Pain

I close my eyes,
I'm flushed of Pain, a new disguise.
Induced with dreams of better life.
Sick of it all, I just get high.
Feelings float away with smoke,
The world fades with a little poke.
Back under my 'Big Man' cloak,
To bob and weave until I choke.
So dark, yet pale, I find my face,
My head feels heavy in my Minds embrace.
In...then out my conscience fades,
A Hero takes me from this place.
I leave my body for a time
And hideaway inside my mind,
Where many comforts I can find.
Where all my troubles get left behind.
I just stay lost here in my head,
Where Disco has never been dead,
And bide and bide my time instead
Of seeing Life then seeing red.
I know it proves a fool of me,
And I know that it makes me weak,
But this is how I heal, you see.
This is how I find relief.
The World is bitter with an evil haste.
My tongue has been burned with the rotten taste.
My friends, I fear my soul evades,
It longs to be free of this awful place.
So I close my eyes,
Flush the pain, a new disguise.
Induce a Dream of better Life,
Then fade away into the night.
