Bitten by the hand that fed you

Some folks are writing about their internal stress

Others pen amore
lost
needed
unrequited and so on

And there will always be the detail rich
vista descriptions

Urban
Suburban
Countryside

Nothing wrong with this
Standard time tested bard fodder

But I think encountering something new
Something that only sleeps in the box
Something that is not enveloped by it

I think that could be invigorating

A piece about how the hungry family
next door
was grateful for the shared dinner of
potato and meat stew

Now that would be unique

And if there must be a verse about how
the dog ran off to make it happen

Well I guess that would be near enough to personal pain and the sacrifice
of love
to frame it all up
as poetry
